Ok, thank you for the recap of Raven history Daar, of which I knew very little.
(I did not even know there was ever XP bonuses on Horus) I am still not sure if I would blame GameSamba for this, the core problem in my opinion is an XP curve which was already slightly excessive for this type of game at lvl50, and twice as bad now with lvl60. To this GS tried to apply an imperfect solution (XP bonuses) to accomodate their target audience. (But again, I know nothing first hand about how this was executed, from what you write it sounds quite bad) I agree that there are other issues holding RO back rather than just "the grind", but I feel that if people would just be able to experience the RvR part more easily, more would be willing to look past those issues, because at its best, the RvR part of this game can be rather intense & unique fun after all, which is - i suppose - why we keep coming back...

At least it's gotten easier to reach a proper level to go to the war zone(The experience needed to reach level 50 was cut in half) and enjoy the RvR aspect of the game. Not to mention you can get experience from killing enemies now. So all in all, the increased level cap has hurt grind-a-holics the most and that is something that most players aren't happy with.

I don't think there should be a constant exp bonus for all levels all day of the week, but rather keep it the way it is. Having daily bonuses for 1-45, but as well as for the higher lvls. Having an exp bonus for 1-3 days out of the week wouldn't hurt anyone... Especially on weekdays, weekends is generally when all the wars are constant.

I'm not happy with this boost. It just interrupts weekend war and causes a lot of bitching. The bonus is pitiful and not worth wrecking war for, either.
Regarding the poll, I'm in full support of a constant boost for all levels, either 24/7 or on weekdays only. It's the equivalent of just halving the XP curve. There would probably be a lot of grinders when the boost first starts, but once the novelty wore off war would probably go back to normal. Quote:

I have to agree with Oro that the XP curve is too excessive. The only other F2P game I've played with such slow leveling that wasn't PvE oriented was Global Agenda, and most XP a player got came from PvP anyway or the PvE instances/daily quests (which were actually fun). Plus it only cost $14 to get 'elite' status and have a permanent 100% XP boost on your account, while $14 in RO would get you a mount and maybe 10 hours worth of boost
