if the barb gets horn and hes UMed and springed: game over
if the barb find a tree to hide and hes willing to treehug till any1else comes out: game over

i said i realized that barbs r imbalanced since staring playing with lock because i never played a ranged class b4. and since i started playing it, i (tryed to) learn how is the ranged vs melee fights.

never said i died very often to barbs, nor they were my locks main trouble.

I do agree that close combat is more fun but it's just not worth it anymore, sotw fails 90% of the time, ambush gets resisted everytime you try to cast it and Ra kills you.
I had a couple of pvps with fireborn and i ended up winning one out of 5 because ofsotw fails and ambush resists.

Kiting is not fun but it's all you can do it seems.

-The barb has to rely on the warlock's spells failing or the warlock making a mistake. The warlock holds all the cards.
-The barb has no chance if the warlock's horned and the barb isn't.
-The warlock can just walk away from that tree before the barb calls for allies. If the warlock calls for allies, the barb's pinned to that tree.

Well, this thread sounds very whiny. A marksman can easily win an open field battle with a barb, and you would've won the close-range fight if it wasn't for the random resists. I can agree though that SotW is too unreliable and random resists make a lot of battles a game of chance, rather than skill.

So, you are saying I should waste a 180cd spell on one opponent? Or that I should skill sb17 and/or tricks19 for hinder and/or caltrops? Seems logical. Also, anytime a barb is slowed they quickly hump a rock/tree)

Probably cause I was raging when I made it, but I didnt make it to complain about being killed. I made it because of how I was killed, under 1 kick and because of resists, its fucking stupid. I shouldnt have to kite a barb the entire fight to win and no class should be able to kill or be killed in 1 knock, it conpletely ruins the fun of fighting
or wanting to fight in close range. Random resists/evades/fails is another rage.
