+1 I couldnt agree more. In such cases relics and gems should be (automatically) disabled. It creates unnecesary anger confusing and discouraging the new players.

It is also frustating defending the realm with 3 ppl (like syrtis had) and 6 like ignis had... So alsius doesn't get the gems... But hey.. they were just having fun, i don't blame them for trying... They were lucky and had more people online at that moment than the rest of the realms...

Last time there was a similar problem, invasions were reversed.. so let's wait and see

@Nohan - the way to enter in game was made public (in regnum forum) by players.. But syrtis and ignis had been already invaded by alsius.. even tho, the invasions lasted all night (european and american) but all three realms invaded...

NGD could had deactivated the gems .. but i had fun defending gate with 6 and then, later on, 8 players... Alsius was just enjoying the time.. it wasn't fair.. true... but hell this is just a game!

And btw, some new ignis players logged in and came to gate too with chars lvl 20.. i dont see it where this can cause anger...

You didnt lose the gems, Syrtis did. You didnt read the comments of the steam players when they saw their gems have been again stolen. They were very angry and didnt understand how this can happen. Two times that gems have been stolen from Syrtis while ppl wasnt able to log in. First during the last server maintenance and now during the server problems.

Ppl are saying that next time they will not log off when they are asked to do so at maintenance time. Others -mostly new steam players- said that this game sucks and quited when they saw and heard of this ridiculous and unexplainable situations.

NGD should have blocked the invasion system. But well it has happened so I only hope some lessons will be learned from this.

we did see our gems being stolen.. we just stopped them... invasions are a factor of numbers... syrtis had 2/3 players online.. it was impossible to stop it..
And i do understand why you are annoyed... i am too.. but look... i grew over it... it is the only thing i can do... NGD said it wasnt their fault... I cant blame alsius for trying...
And about the first time your gems were stolen.. NGD reversed the invasion... this time it will happen the same...

I do not blame any realm neither. The real problem is not that a few ppl take advantage of the situation but the fact that this is possible. I mean there should be some relic-gem locking system to prevent abuses when a server is not available to everybody.
I hope that NGD reverses the invasion, returns our gems and annulates the wishes conceded.

The connection issue is NOT in the game's hands, it is a regional internet backbone issue. I am sure many thousands of servers are off-line due to this issue, making it impossible for the people working on the problem to give everyone updates on the resolution, updates that are really not possible considering the nature of puter problems. Often one does not know exactly what the problem is until it is fixxed, period. To get to the fix is a series of educated guesses until one actually works. Even a smoking peice of hardware does not mean you just replace said hardware for WHY did it go Cherinobel?

Until then smart and dedicated players will come to the forums to see what's up, see the post of the work-around and enjoy the game. And it is more enjoyable than usual because less idiots are playing. A game like this is all about Adapt and Overcome. The best players know this and have done so and are having a blast. So, there may be a setback, so what? When things return to normal then it will be fun to reverse that setback and regain losses. This isn't a game with and end "You win let's play something else" but a continuing game where all wins are just temporary advantages, anyway.

"It's not fair" I say Grow up! Get a pair and have fun. In a game like this death only makes you stronger. If you don't die or fail you don't put yourself to the limits of your charactor and you don't learn. Out numbered? So what! I have been in many Guilds/clans through the years that would do stuff successfully with one group that everyone else was doing with full multigroup raids and still failing. "invasions a factor of numbers" only applies if the numbers are overwhelming (which they may have been) but I play at all times and I see forts go back and forth all the time depending on time of day (or night).

Let the smart people play and if the Game Godsa decide to take away gains, gem-wise, after the problems logging in are resolved, I am fine with that. I would not be fine if my leveling and drops are taken away though.

Anywho, *I* am going to log in now and level up my toons some more. *I* am going to have fun while others cry that some bad man stole their their binky.
