"Cooincidently" many Syrtains now stay up during the late night hours, when most of them previously slept, on Ignis' schedule. >>> Multirealmers detected! <<< Don't worry though, mutirealming is now officialy endorsed by NGD as they couldn't come up with a better solution with the merger. Problem solved? Last edited by Kitsunie; 05-12-2012 at 11:00 AM. |

Most the people I've seen complain about this merge is those from Alsius Raven and Ignis Horus. I wonder why that is?

Being a filthy multirealmer, I've played on both the offensive and defensive side of Ignis Horus, Alsius Raven, and Syrtis Haven invasions. I try to be unbiased on my opinion of the 3 realms (unlike some people). I'd have to say, during my game-play experience at least, that Syrtis has a harder time invading and taking gems than Ignis and Alsius ever did. In Alsius Raven and Ignis Horus, they would often take the gems out during one invasion. I've rarely seen Syrtis achieve taking both gems out at once during one invasion. I prefer Haven. I like the larger population, I find all combat in warzone more enjoyable now, and personally, I think it's more balanced than Horus and definitely more balanced than Raven. Quote:
Or am I missing something? Was a better solution suggested by anyone?

Personally, I am okay with the merger. The wars are bigger, there is more activity, there seems to be a better balance, higher populations and so on.
The quality of the wars is debatable at times which seems to be only damage and randomized area/aura whoring but that is up to the players and not NGD. They put the platform, we do the gameplay. note that the platform NGD designed encourages and sometimes demands this whoring but that is not because of the merger. The merger just makes a common tactic more common. Speaking of platform, this is probably where the focus should be. I have not heard much grumbling in Ignis about gameplay at all. What I have heard are complaints about FPS, lags, random crashes and insane ping spikes out of nowhere. I have experienced most. I can't complain though because I suffer from an external problem which is my ISP. But, I listen to the others and feel that I should express their concerns. Ignis has a decent population but, we have lost a few to those technical problems. If those are fixed, they should return. Aside from that, players may agree or disagree on the invasions and how they go but on this you can be sure. NGD is happy. At long last they have driven the game to concentrate on the end content they market. They must be smiling so hard they can lick their own ears. SO, there are several positives and a few negatives which are mostly technical. The rest of the issues existed before and as such cannot be attributed to the merger. I speak of Warmasters (the whole thing), balancing considerations and invasions mechanics. Higher populations will mask them but they do still exist. |
