Gamesamba recruited players as in game moderators, among other things, why NGD doesn't, i dont know. it was nice before, but they never stayed long enough, and people resumed fighting the moment they left.
That is a source anyways, but unused. |

I never knew that Gamesamba recruited players. There was a time when you could tell when moderators came online. But the last mod I saw was 1 year ago and when reported to him this lvl 20 that kept saying he was the son of an NGD studios engineer, he told me to write it in the forums. NGD is lacking in this area. Perhaps if we presented the problem to them in the forums and take a poll we could get them to recruit some members known for their experience and responsibility. Perhaps Realms Online exists to be a standard for NGD to bulk up the moderation of the game. (Actually, nah, that's just stupid)

Plus, you get paid a minor amount of ximerin, and you "work" maybe 3 hours, 5 days a week

More moderation is not a good idea in my opinion. NGD isn't always fair enough for the task, they tend to be a little trigger-happy on the bans... I'd rather deal with cheaters and liars in the game rather than always worrying I might make one mistake and get a ban, perhaps even permanently.
Even now, this is already a risk due to bugs like the invisibility bug, even when players do absolutely nothing wrong. If this game didn't require rediculous amounts of time, effort and money to get to level 60, it wouldn't be so bad. But there's just too much to lose in it atm. |

true they have no real power, but they have a means to get a GM in game via communication channel, and that is enough for most issues i think.
I guess i just want some semblance of moderation in game, and first hand if possible to be able to view these bugs/abuse as they happen, and decide if its a bug or intentional, rather than a ticket sent to someone who likely has no clue, or cares about your side of the story. meh i dont care about xim or being paid..i actually did sign up, but i had to leave for some months suddenlt so never was able to. I guess im just at a point id rather just enjoy the community than constantly play. IF that ever happened, i doubt i'd nominate myself anyways lol. TBH i think the most likely choices in Syrtis who are decent and helpful, would be Lady of Light, and Ieti. I could prolly name a few more, but i have to think :P |
