I don't know what the GameSamba .exe is called, but whatever it is, you need to change the xfire config to recognize it. Change ROClientGame.exe to whatever it is called on your PC.

Yeah, xfire staff made a brilliant update which killed detection on XP and older systems to enable support for vista/7. Last but not least: Just OpenGL.

Fixed it! All you have to do is:
> go to C:\ProgramData\Xfire > open xfire_games.ini > search for Realms Online (or Regnum online, whichever one u want) > For me I had to change the DetectExe=LiveServer\ROClientGameEX.exe line to DetectExe=LiveServer\ROClientGame.exe If your file names are not exact you should look and see what process your computer uses to run the GAME and change the detectexe line to whatever that process name is. Voila! |

It won't work for you with Direct3D, at least not without compatibility mode. For compatibility mode on the other hand need to do the winXP fix and do what Rob wrote.
Yeah, Xfire is a huge fail company They couldn't do any updates for game detection without user help, and any function that still requires real code changes remains dead or broken. Yay~
