With my laptop ( Intel Core2 Duo 2.40, 4 gig ram, x2300 128mb ) I am able to play Amun with most settings set to low and a few set at medium.

My average FPS is around 19, which is still not that good, but before it was around 9 FPS.

Crash in normal mode but run fine with safe mode, good fps. Only some spell animation don't diplay correctly.

Gentoo 64bits
Nvidia 8600gt nvidia-drivers-190.18

ground an sky remain black, people trees and so on look normal. did anyone have the same problem?

I did/do, no texture for the ground and sky so it's just all 'transparent' black. You fix this by opening the options ingame, and pull down the postprocess level, but in my client this causes severe graphical corruption across the whole screen (if I have an 800x600 game screen windowed, it shows the corruptions across the whole workspace though it is larger), it keeps flashing and torturing your eyes. Subsequently I can fix this by unchecking the box for shadows to disable them.

But even at the lowest level of postprocessing, it still looks like there's some postprocessing (read blurring) going on, thus lowering my framerate tremendously.

So far, not terribly impressed, at least for my low-end card. I was expecting a better framerate because the engine should offload more work to the card from the cpu, but it seems more like the new engine is forcing all the new features on to my card and it's unable to cope.

When i try to connect to Amun, i get an error. I didn't change any language settings and i can't change the language...

I have an Intel Q9300, ATI 4850, 4 GB Ram, Windows 7 64 Bit, ATI Catalyst 9.10.

I get the same error, I think it's because Amun is down as there's a red jewel next to its name.

I can log in to the game but as soon as the character selection screen appears I get a black screen...

AMD Turion(tm) x2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM-84 @ 2,30Ghz
4GB Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bits

Tried both Open Gl and Direct X, also tried running the game in safe mode. All my drivers are updated.

Same problem like Anyriand. I will try it with linux...

Edit: With OpenSuse 11.1 32 bit it runs very good. Only some effect and light problems. The new graphic looks really nice!

1. system: Arch Linux 64-bit, AMD Phenom II X2 545 3.00 GHz, 2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4650

- guards can attack through the wall
- casting horse animation is bugged
- missing animations e.g. frency, onslaught
- sometimes thin lines (rectangle) on the ground


2. system: almost same as above but windows 7 UT 64bit instead of linux

at the first tries it crashed every time when i tried to play with DirectX, after a small client update i can play with DirectX without crashs. Playing with OpenGl works too.

Hi,

Performance has increased for me since the previous test, however i had no shadows and was unable to turn them on. So i cant say for sure where the increase comes from.

edit: i get >60 fps in menirah so its not limited...
