I found this game when I was researching for some games to review on our company's game blog. It was a long time ago and some of the information I had there is no longer true (the water effects in linux, maps and the buddy list for example) and some of my opinions have changed (w,a,s,d controls). Maybe I should update it.

And one from the *cough* computerbild:
In this online role play game with 3D graphics, the player enters a medival fantasy world. After choosing a kingdom, for example the Desert Kingdom, the player starts fighting alone or in groups, so called guilds/clans. The aim is to conquer the forts of the enemies. Details: Version 1.0 Producer: gamigo AG Language: German OS: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista http://www.computerbild.de/programme...e_1877805.html this is the link. Well the computerbild is known for such short reviews but even the version is wrong and no word about ngd is given. And now one by "chip" that really shocked me. I know this magazine as a magazine that works very precise and tries to find out as many details as possible: Open Beta: Regnum Online, a game by gamigo [annotation: link to regnum.gamigo was placed at "gamigo], a 3D Roleplaygame. You can choose between three different parties. You are able to do quests alone or to go move in groups and conquer enemy castles or to defend own castles. The Open Beta runs until the middle of October. After this all acounts will be deleted. The game is worth a try: Graphics, Characters and Landscape look pretty nice and the world seems to be quite large. More information here. [link to regnum.gamigo.de] Then they linked the first Regnum Video by NGD and the funny thing is, the DL link linked to the official regnum page. This review is a bit older. And one by onlinewelten.com: Release: PC: 12.10.2007 Status: Released Plattformen: MMOG Publisher: Gamigo AG Entwickler: Gamigo AG Genre: onlinegame Off. Seite: regnum.gamigo.de Fansite: N/A link Well the text is quite good. No need to translate it. It is really poor that journalists do not research deeper.... In none of the tests the Linux client ist mentioned.

CHIP is a "Käseblättchen" all in all im sure that most journalists dont have the time to play every game they have to test for that long. So the very first review wasnt too bad in my eyes, except that the whole RvR was way too short portrayed as this is the main part of the game. Maybe NGD shoud fire out some press releases on their own when they have some time () or ask gamigo to |

Maybe for an independent reviewing purposes NGD can "loan" the journalists a lvl50 character to get some more feel of the warzone? The RvR aspect is what's sorely lacking from these reviews.
