Sometimes i track group in stalker,sometimes not

I remember I hunted few times DMC and few others around I see them using camouflage or stalker, then i used both realm track and enemy surveillance is just "no tracks" each time so Is my conclusion, you cannot track.

Yesterday we hunted an Ignis hunter for about 15-20 minutes around the gate. Is just getting boring.
