I also have a problem with the way too friendly alliances, both when armies and small war parties merge.
Im fine with purely tactical alliances, such as attacking regroup points and avoiding each other as much as possible at the gate.
Anyway i get lots of free RP from all too 'friendly' elves so im not complaining.

It's about time someone else feels the pain of being on their "backfoot" constantly. For many days straight, probably the first week straight, without fail, I was stuck in Alsius, either trying to help at trelle, aggers, the castle, or my own gate to keep you folks out. It didn't work, well ... sometimes it did, but most times we failed. Now you get the pleasure of feeling what it's like, "Welcome to the life of an Alsius fighter". It's nothing new, and this constant whining won't change a dam thing, I kill whoever shoots at me, hits me, or just rubs me wrong. or at least die trying. It's a game, 1 realm will always side with another, especially if that improves their chances of an invasion, we got used to it, and fought back ...... glad to see it's someone else now ........ o yeah......we have no gems to be stolen ........ so it must be Ignis or Syrtis, and since Ignis has the most gems............doesn't take a rocket-scientist to figure out who will be on the hit list for awhile. I, and my clan, do not side with anyone, except our own realmates. Fight side by side with enemies......been known to, but form an alliance.......never !!

Then that explains why Ignis get attacked, the game will be this way as long as there's gems to steal. I spent most of the first week after the invasions update running between trelle, aggers and imperia. Then i got tired and placed 1 character at each save.

Neither Ignis or Syrtis could invade alone Alsius, so they started fighting together and taking our Castle and forts everyday until they stole all our gems. So now we should do the same no?

PD: I see a lot of Alsiuns helping the greens at Samal

As others have said, Alsius have had their share of fighting off a 2-realm invasion threat. There was a period recently about 2 weeks long when Alsius was constantly defending against the 2 enemy realms who were often co-operating.

From the way Matt describes things it looks like its Ignis' turn ATM.

Personally, i don't like inter-realm co-operation, and have never played any part in it. But you know what?: i reckon it's about time that the greens felt the pain.

I'd like to see them on the back-foot for a prolonged period against the other 2 realms, and for this i'd break my usual rule of not co-operating with another realm.

Sorry you greens out there, it's nothing personal. I just get fed up being so often overwhelmed by your numbers, and i think it's about time you got some of the same..

I can't stand the co-operation either.

To me it's just like.. The game is a realm vs realm war. Syrtis vs. Alsius vs. Ignis, right? There should be zero alliances.

Invasions have fucked this right up... I wish the game could be reverted to pre-Invasion sometimes... =\
