I hate when devs decide that half of your attack should depend of a vulnerable and idiotic ai that even blocks your vision and gets your allies killed because it decided to run over them so conjurers cant select them.
Very good idea.

That sounds like what wives say about their husbands.

On a more serious note, I have an idea about pets. The way it currently is, all hunters seem to have the same 3 or 4 types of pets. Level 50 hunters seem to always have one of maybe two different types. I would like to see more variety.

Here is my idea: I think a hunter should be able to tame any animal-type, non-missile pet, of any level. Then, the pet should auto-adjust to the hunter's level. No matter what animal is chosen as pet, it will always have the same HP, speed and damage appropriate for their level, and no spell abilities (no Rake, knock-down, Trolls Roar, etc). So a level 50 hunter could tame a level 4 Ice Skeleton, and it instantly becomes a level 50 Ice Skeleton, with identical stats to another level 50 hunter's pet Lion, Bear, Wolf, Spider, etc.

With stats being identical no matter what pet is chosen, there will be no "best pet" so the game world will be filled with hunters using a huge variety of pets. One strategic advantage for hunters is that they can tame a new pet common to the area they will be hunting in, so their pet will look like the native ones, and help to blend in. Though I don't play a hunter, I would not mind this small benefit to their class, since I think it fits nicely with the stealth focus of hunters.

You don't like being a powerless surrogate marksman? Get over it or change class!
Wow man... read your words again.

You do not like it that someone is faster than you....
But if someone lacks power to fight toe to toe you tell them to change class?
Maybe you need to change class so you can catch us......
Not all hunter use pets, some feel they only hinder our abilities.

This is one of the best ideas I ever heard! Then hunters won't need to use those giant pets in battle.

omg omg omg... GO BENJI GO!!!!!!! I would rather see a mole rat kill a giant tol tar lol "nibble to death"

There is a potential problem with all this though.
A hunter can one shot low lvl mosnters then instantly tame them into super beasts. It would promote low lvl area hunting. Plus a hunter could lose his pet in battle "distracting shot a player" and tame another super beast too quickly. I have to slowly back away from this idea.....

Well the solution to that would be to make it so that the pet always remains at the same level relative to the hunter as when they tamed it. Of course, then you'd need to take care of your pet and make sure it doesn't die in the early levels before you get revive....

Personally I think there's not enough of those troll slaves running around after hunters in their gimp harnesses.

Maybe I should have added sarcasm tags or made it more obviously. I should have learned by know that sarcasm is very hard to bring over without a voice.

I like this quite a bit but I would like not all same hunter level pets to be exactly the same.
There should be some differences in HP, dmg, speed and attack speed and maybe other attributes, of course they need to be balanced so that each hunter can choose a pet that fits his playing style.
But I definitely like the idea of pets to be the same level as the hunter and maybe have about 5-8 different types of pets with respect to the above mentioned attributes.
It would be great to see a bigger variety of pets and I would trade the "easily identify level of hunter by pet" ability for that in a heartbeat.
