Despite warning that Linux OpenGL is still not stable and working i tested it. My sistem is:

Debian Lenny 5.0.3
Pentium 4 3GHz
1Gb RAM
NVidia GF 7300 GT

Game started good and runned with around 7 fps. After disabling shadows and other eye candy i managed to get it to about 27fps. My char was on Eferias Beach so i runned to Central Save saved there and logged. For this run i get only one crash log from it i attached. Attached also screenshot from game.

Game was a little choppy even it was at 27 FPS. There is some defect. Sometimes char is like stuck in some objects on road and start to slide left or right. It appears alot near roads, grass, rocks etc. With this one i get hard time running from mobs that was aggroed on me.

Game looks amazinng. Great work NGD

ArchLinux, Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB 7200RPM, GeForce 9650GT

  • There is no way to adjust the view distance.
  • The character is sometimes sliding in both small and steep slopes.
  • The character sometimes gets stuck inside the terrain.
  • Change of Post Process only applies after client restart.

The problem is Ive downloaded the DirectX and it extracted a bunch of files then stopped doing anything, so I guess it had finished. But when I try to get onto Amun, I have that error message "cant find d3dx9_42.dll". You said in another thread that downloading DirectX would fix this problem, but Im still having them :P hope this helps, dont know if anyone is in a similar position...?
I have the same problem when trying to render in direct x. But I think it is because my graphics card is not supported for this graphics update. Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family

I just see nothing except menus. I can cast spell and read the chat, maybe move but i can't see.
I can't see my char on the selecting menu too.

I tested it on this system:
Windows 7 UT 64bit and Arch Linux 64bit, AMD Athlon X2 4450e 2*2.3GHz, ATI Radeon 4650 HD, 2 GB RAM,

The windows client worked only with OpenGl.
On Windows and the Linux client every ghost and giant spectral snakes were invisible. I noticed pretty much sliding of the character on the linux client.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz, RAM 4Gb, nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB, Linux 2.6.28-15-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP x86_64; nvidia drivers 180.44, 1920x1200

Many small visual artifacts, very long shadows when sun is low, sliding character, but quite stable.

Ah i forgot: very promising, beautiful !

seems stable atleast for my short test some shadows appeared a little bit too long for me too. since i was kinda alone on there cant really say how it would be with large fights but just walking around i had huge fps fluctuation (from 10 to 36FPS normal server i get 90fps) also it seems the blur effect isn't working(most stuff looked jaggered)? also my character was sliding to the side alot. here's 1 picture to show what it looks like anyway best i could find in screen shots that showed what it looks like and average fps i was getting(with no one around)

SYSTEM: Bluewhite64 13.0
CPU: AMD athlon64 x2 6000+
RAM: 2GB DDR2
Graphics: Nvidia 9600 GT with Nvidia drivers version 185.18.36
Resolution(ingame): 1280x1024

AMD Athlon64 X2 4800+, 4GB RAM, GeForce 9800GT (1GB), GNU/Linux 64bit (Debian Lenny), nVidia driver 190.18.

Major issues:

On full maxed details I've got 10-30 fps. That is half of what I have on live server and what in turn is half of what I had before 1.0.8 update. Should I expect next 50% fps drop when NG3D 2.0 hits live server?

I suffer significant position bugs. Character is sliding, warping and runs with different speeds.

Be back when: 1. Selection system is fixed/rebuilt. 2. Phantom swings are gone.
