Now on the optimistic note: In the city where Ameer lives, Wroclaw, on a bridge people hung a huge banner saying : "Wave, GET THE F**K OUT" ;D and it worked, Wroclaw is safer than Warsaw, water is getting lower.

no, in Warsaw this level of water might be same till tuesday, which means banks can get wet and break.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Pizdzius and the people in your area. Hope those banks hold up for you and the waters recede.
I live in Nashville, Tennessee USA and we had major flooding in my area. Two weeks ago, we had 15 inches (38 cm) of rain in 36 hours. Water came within 300 feet of my house. If it had crested about 3 to 5 feet higher, it would have been at my house if not in it. They are saying that the it was a 1000 year flood. All I can tell you is that I've never seen so much rain and devastation in so little time. The one thing that I can say about it, is that you will see the best and unfortunately the worst in people. |

Thanks really. We had 1000 year flood in 1997, it destroyed a lot of our country, now we have another 1000 year flood as it's 2000...
I imagine the great rains you have, we often hear about them in our news, flash floods etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEpBAO6Lpuw god, just check out this video. It's a middle of one of the biggest cities in Poland. It's just unimaginable how massive that flood is. It's a video from 1997 but now it looks exactly the same.

One of the banks broke, military forces are there already, protecting the city from water. :S
it dropped to 755cm today, but we still need 1,5m less to call it safe :/ and we still have raging storms all over Poland -.- I think god hates us, lol.

I don't want to seem like joking, but now I'm kinda starting to believe in that damned 2012 year. We had earthquakes/floods/disease. What next!?
And about your situation :S, never felt this before, but how will you repair your house, it will be completely destroyed, all the wooden stuff (hmm what's that word, when like it goes black and then just well idk :S), the walls, electronic things. Maybe Lithuania will hand you some help, after all we were one country back then.

It's called rotting. We have buildings made of cement, all the woodden stuff is impregnated with special varnish. It's XXIst century man :P
Now on the awkward flash news: somebody shot a policeman that was helping to protect the sand bank. WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with people?
