I think that this new clan for training is an awesome idea; a clan where you don't have to worry about taking back forts from rp farming zergs, devote your time to grinding a char to WZ readiness, helping out new players, giving tips or asking for them without feeling too noobish etc etc

and then we have a seperate clan where war is everything so that when you need help at a fort or elsewhere, you know you get it

Here's one for ya, say you have a lvl 43 knight, he's high enough to start warring, but not all the time because he has a lot of grinding left to do, but man he really wants a break...

Switch clans? Join the "real" clan and then be a grinder in the war clan? Stay in the "newb" clan and be warring? OMG that violates all the sense in having two specialized clans!!!!!1
Observation one; one clan is better.
Observation two; this appears to be all about RP ratio, no matter what you claim. The reasons are weak to support splitting your clan. If it wasn't why bother posting in the forums?

Vythica - please stop...really. This has absolutely nothing to do with RP ratio...it's not even tracked as a value in-game.

Ratio has no bearing on this. Check the leader boards tonight and see what happens. Ascendancy had the top slots in all categories for Horus/Alsius .. I'm sure that will drop.

It's a simplification. It will allow the WZ junkies to concentrate on war without being asked to help kill a pendant holder and grinders won't have to listen to unending complaints about hax0rs, zergs, and Fuerst in the OC.

I've taken both my characters out of Ascendancy and put them in AoA, many of us have alts in there as well. Help and advice will be available. When the time comes and someone gets an invitation to Ascendancy, they can decide if they're ready to focus on war or continue grinding up a bit longer.

Helping new people along and getting some tactics and teamwork going is a bad thing?

Why are you posting here? First post says: "For those interested." You don't seem interested. Why would you be? You don't play in Alsius. If you're just bored, there's this game called Regnum you could go play...

Even if you are genuinely interested (forgive me for doubting), do you really care about rp? If so, calm down, our total rp actually goes down from this! If not, then why are you commenting on it? Ratio? Perhaps it will increase... and? That's just as pointless as rp itself.

You claim we are doing this for rp. No, even worse, rp ratio!!! Whatever will you do?! Clearly we all must be evil minded arch-demons plotting devious schemes for our delicious rp.

Ascendancy is a good clan with good intentions. By building a foundation for new players they are trying to solve an ever growing problem in our realm and by splitting it into war-based and training based clans they are creating that communication and organization we need in the warzone. I see players doing stupid things everyday (me included) because they didnt know any better and didnt have any real mentors. If you dont like that idea, its fine, just dont badmouth them and make false accusations. With that said, i can do with some of this training myself so hopefully i can tag along when you guys do one of your training runs.
