If jump will give you additional evade chance it will bring some fresh way to fight warriors vs ranged.

I can't test it yet but even if the jump implementation is the best ever, this is yet another useless feature... Yet another reason to stop playing this badly evolving game.
Seriously ngd, nothing better to do at the moment ?

I don't see why they chose to do this now. They already tried jumping in beta and because of the way the Z axis works and the way the terrain is designed in Regnum it was horrible. If they implement this now they will open up the doors to hundreds of bugs. The bugs I'm talking about are the ones in the terrain. Lots of models, especially the old ones, have holes, and plenty of area's have poorly designed terrain, where already just by walking you can go to places off the map. Who's to say what will happen when we can additionally jump to reach more areas and exploit more bugs. And how about this in relation to the Draconic Gem?

Imho there will be plenty ways to cross enemy walls without taking down the gate. I think it's safe to assume NGD already looked ahead though and fixed those bugs right? Right? (Good one.)

I guess this once again proves my suspicion that Regnum is becoming more and more of a generic MMO.

Jumping shouldn't be a combat mechanic unless it's properly and intentionally implemented for that purpose. Which given the current state of Regnum's combat seems pretty unrealistic, if you can't evade by strafing then I don't see why you should be able to evade by jumping. Static combat hoooooray.

Just tried amun, seems ok but agree it could introduce bugs and there are a lot more important issues needing attention.

I cant even fathom how falling damage is taken, jumping from the archer guards at a fort to the ground renders 1765 damage, while going over the small cliff (smaller drop then the fort wall) in between tenax and the wz gate insta killed me.

Jumping, sure cool whatever, but the falling damage is just bad.
