"Why would anybody even need or care for a rep on a forum on the internet?"

I mean everything else other than "technical help" is just hogwash from a user's side. Of course, no idea how this would apply to keyboard heroes who basically "live" on the forum. What kind of a no-life does someone have to have to care about what stranger xyz said about you from some obscure place you wouldn't even know and would never meet that stranger..

Personally, I don't even know what the karma or rep or whatever does and don't care what a coloured pixel on the internet says about you.
