I am glad they are going with the level cap island idea. Player retention will go way up with this.
Hopefully NGD can get some revenue for doing it too. ( premium instance ) Every feature should have its paid counterpart to pay for that coding. As for realm balance, I accept Chilko's statement. However, I would like to still single out one idea from that post. 4. Offer via the achievements system, bonuses and perks for clocking a particular amount of game hours on a particular character. I believe that this one can go some way to reducing multirealming and improve realm loyalty. It should not be too much work as the server kind of logged your online time with fatigue. Just add it to the achievements list. |

Turning off boats won't stop 30 elves from breaking a gate defended by 5 alsius players. But if it would make the community feel better then by all means do it.

If you take the boats away you will take the only opportunity for some realms to kill the nobles. So that will be stupid.

I am sorry for this critics but i don't think is a option for weak realms and they will boost even more powerful realms ,in long term of time this will be even more harming for weak reals as it's now. I have no idea how decision are took in realm balance,but there already are many factors ,that harmed fragile realm balance: - dragon wishes :negative XP for underpopulated realms - restricting areas for daily wm quest ,become monthly quests for a weak realm and daily for a powerful realm - now boats ,that gives oportunity to a weak realm to sneak on back-door to get a that quest,wile other realm kept busy powerful realm is vanished. Even people want or not WM are principal factor in battle that help to win it. I wonder what's next....i pretty sure there are other factors that made ngd to vanish boats ,for sure realm balance is not.
