I wonder how many of those trolling this post play mainly Ignis.
Can we hear some more from people who play goats? What have you seen? |

( rustles out of retirement)
The bonuses are calculated by equations and done by the server. It used to be that level 35 and below was left out of the population equation. only "war ready" were counted. This level exemption may have changed. Other than that, due to population flux, realms exploit this to their advantage for invasions and can, from time to time give themselves additional bonuses against the run of play. Can't you ask vets in Alsius for this information in game? Or, has the realm put you on ignore? Considering how irritating you are here, you could be unwittingly the cause of population loss in Alsius. Where are you getting your information from ? Where is the information leaked by NGD on how much active level 60's there are? Show me . As far as I am concerned your "observations" loosely translate to " I make shit up to suit my purposes" . yea, Alsius has had the numerical advantage for some months now.
the thing i find odd about trying to use realm xp bonus to rebalance realm numbers is that it is always a lag effect. it takes a few months for new players to get to 60, yet the xp rebalance is done on numbers right now. basically, you will never have a really close balance in realm numbers. this isn't necessarily bad. it can be fun fighting 15 vs 25 (50-70% numbers?). but imho, what harms the game is when the balance is 7 vs 15 (<50% numbers) and consistently that way. (eg: samal). i feel quite a few players give up and just never come back. Last edited by fotomay; 06-25-2013 at 03:29 AM. |

"My own observations" means I have eyes. I can see how large the group of reds were standing in front of Imp a half a day ago and I can see the size of the group of blues countering them. Observation, using one's own eyes, is the best way to know what is going on. Try it sometime. It is called "seeing is believing" and has been the scientific standard for centuries. Ignis currently has the numerical advantage in RvR. This is fact. This is why the bonuses must end at least for awhile.

Your eyes are a truly great thing, they work and might be able to capture a considerable amount of things going on on your monitor. However. Your monitor most certainly doesn't capture all of the players currently online. You simply can't see the few players grinding, others hunting, some strolling about the inner realm. That's the first flaw. Secondly, your eyes (however awesome they are) can't capture different timezones. You can't see what's happening 24h a day. If your spectacular eyes could do this, you might come to the same conclusion as the server: Alsius is currently the most populated realm. Quote:
Observation was taken as the "scientific standard" in the fifteenth century. Today, observation just covers the very basics proof of a change, and sometimes not even that. Unless you are doing one of those investigations, whether flowers grow towards light or not (yay, primary school science). There the method of observation actually works in the basics (but still doesn't show you why that happens :P). Believe me, most science today simply cannot use observation, since many interesting things cannot be seen. By your logic, scientist should just scap all microscopes and measuring devices, and just look at a lump of plutonium, hoping to see it killing them. Now, your scientific "observations" are in direct dispute with the empirical data from server (who doesn't have eyes, but still does "science" btw :O), and arguing, that your eyes can provide more valid evidence than a machine designed to measure stuff, is simply not going to get you anywhere. I'm very interested in your next post though, keep it up.
