yes. this is difficult question. What DO we do with items which are in "inactive" accounts? Do we still include them in the probability distribution of items?

Personally, the cleanest solution in my way of thinking would be to have 1) everyone gear previouslky selected from an armoury identical across all realms 2) you can get time limited boss items, say limited to 2 weeks to 3 months or so. then the probability distribution of gear on every server instance should be relatively easily calculated.

Under the system prevailing across the mmo industry, you have massive problems with perpetuating imbalances because players end up paying real money for permanent items, which acts to permanently imbalance pvp over time. it seems to be poorly thought out and ill-suited for pvp mmos.

Something I thought of is to make Ximerin Weapons available for Ximerin, with identical stats to the magnanite weapons. This would devalue magnanite to some extent, though people might still retain it to trade other weapons. NGD needs to sort out the Champions system, as the TDM matches have proven a total failure on Haven. Champion coins need to made available by means other than TDM.

Honestly this will label the game as "Pay to Win" and drive away players before even installing the game. NGD has done a decent job of minimalizing the effect Premium has on war and it is a very importantly factor when a new player decides whether he'd like to play a game or not. I'd rather not screw up one of the few positive aspects this game has left.

It would work if this was a subscription based game. However since it is not, this will cut out NGD's primary source of income. Until they find some other way to encourage players to keep paying, this idea will not work.

The game is already pay to win. Unless you're super lucky how else do you expect lvl 60 characters to obtain decent weapons and armour without buying boxes for epic/legendary gear? The drop rate simply isnt good enough for players to have good enough items to swap between eachother.

I would hazard a guess that most lvl 60 players that are serious about competing in CoR have every single item they use magical or above; some don't wear anything less than epic. There's no way you can drop an entire setup of that calibre without buying Xim.

Even the rates from boxes are ridiculously low, I heard someone mention in commerce that they purchased over 5 of the 12,000 ximerin gem boxes and every single one gave a Major gem. I myself have purchased 3 of them and they were all Major too.
  • Make magna untradeable
  • Reduce the amount of magna you need to create a magna weapon
  • Remove TDM
  • Remove the Alsuis tele to Ignis swamp
  • Fix all the rocks/huts/trees/areas that you can get stuck in
  • Change the location of the Alsuis save altar at Imp
  • Make Ximerin items time limited
  • Actually disclose the chances between dropping each tier of weapon/armour/gem on the ximerin items as a percentage. For example: "Diamond box" (75% magical or epic, 25% legendary)

Not sure how situation looks in other realms but in Alsius in commerce for weeks i see spam like anyone got for "sale/give" items for "x-class" lvl 40-55.

Drop rate is so low that many ppl i invite to clan or help them (even when lvl 50) got most likely either random items from NPC or using drops like 5-10 lvls lower then their toon if lucky.

When you are at lvl 40-50 (got only grind to do) and must relay on shop items or expensive boxes to get any weapon with decent dm/armor with any good stats then i am not surprized that ppl got pissed off and quit. I saw ppl selling good items (epic) for lvls 40-50 but demanding MAGNA INGOT for that (how the f..k new player is supposed to get such stuff? collecting 4 ingots i sold for stuff for my lvl 60 toons took me 2 years of intensive playing).

They quit cause yes its free to play (emphacised everywhere) but also pay to win (not mentioned anywhere when you decide to play this game).

Sadly, the truth spoken above.

The policy change was clear when the company raised the level cap.

It has clearly become a pay to compete type system. To get to wars fast you need a horse. No more for gold.

Equipment drops were reduced dramatically. In the old days , you could drop normals every 5-8 kills and specials were fairly common. Not so now. Heck you could actually buy gear for gold or sometimes get something gifted to you. I used to give away magic and epic gear.
Not now.

The rarity along with excess gold liquidity has caused hyper- inflation . This results in prices out of reach and leads to players farming for mags instead of having fun, just to be able to pay for barely decent gear.

Sad really.

That is what I am talking about. Grind out a level and all you get is normals or maybe something higher color but stat-wise no better. Vendor trash is what I call that. Adjusting drop tables is probably one of the easiest things in any game. Play a year for maybe one blue drop? Really?

As I see it, the problem is not mag trading, it is the drop rates.

Funny guy. This is NGD who can't fix even the simpliest bugs which annoys the whole playerbase for years. FOR YEARS!

In response to my suggestion of a common armoury for everyone to select from..

Yup. My suggestion of a common armoury is sort of a benchmark level from which to build on. NGD does need some form of revenue do I would agree some adjustment is needed. Can a big increase in costume sales offset sales of lucky boxes and so on? I don't know.

In response to my suggestion for time limited boss items :-

I have to say i do not really know why people support permanent boss items. The only motive I can see is that individual players want to retain their hard won items. And yes, if i had any I too would want to retain them. But if we were to design the game from scratch, I feel they would have to be excluded or time limited?

What you were suggesting was a sort of universal gear set for all players similar to the way gear works in sPvP on Guild Wars 2. As I said it would be bad for NGD's income, however it would work really well in a bolstered low level warzone since those players wouldn't be purchasing boxes at those levels anyway.

Anyway I highly doubt costume sales can come anywhere close to box sales due to it not being an as high of a necessity.
