I -marks- had a 11 dmg nerf in my best bow (a composite serpent shortbow) and I can barely notice the difference. Much like Chilco said, I still have one of the best bows in the game, and it still kicks ass.
But then again I'm a marks. Hunters will feel this a little bit more. |

I'm looking forward for hunters with track 5 and hide corps 5 Because they don't need damage anymore. At least it is useless for them to do damage.

My archer's weapons didn't seem to be impacted, nothing changed for me; however, NGD really needs to look at the overall damage accomplished by an archer (and mages as well).
An archer can reduce another archer's normals all the way down to 15 dmg using acrobatic and evasive tactics; however, those two buffs vs a barb hitting you means almost nothing. Some things needs to be addressed that either increases archer's damage or allows them to hit on the run (normals). Right now the playing field isn't level by any means. |

Personally, I think they should look at the foundations in an attempt to balance them. Many archers are getting a knee jerk reaction because they lost damages. While I understand this I am trying to look at the overall picture. If Archer bows, barb weapons and others are out of range that should be brought in line. Doing this now sets the stage for adjusting the defensive properties downwards in a proper way. Two broken facets do not make one good one.
The point is, if they fix this problem and solve it (with all weapons and armour) they can then address the problem of the heavy influence of stacked defences knowing that the foundation damage formulas have no conceptual problems. In recent times NGD has shown the policy of not leaving things in a dead end but rather digging to root out core problems and build from the base. I say let us have a little patience and see where it goes. If they do not address stacked defence then you can quarrel. Art. |

bois...
I understand where your coming from, and hope that NGD gets stuff right real soon. But for those of us who only have one class type....RO really sucks right now. I play a hunter and a marks - and they are so static to play it kills me...makes me scratch my eyes out. I've always had faith in NGD and I've always enjoyed regnum...but I'm coming to the end of my rope. |

Knight was in the dark ages for a long time in this game. Game play for this class then was worse than anything any archer is going through right now. I endured it with the class (my main) for nearly 2 years. I played defensive knight when very few others would even touch the class for any reason. Only Knarb was viable then.
Things ebb and flow. Roll with it. Any perceived problems archers have now, I believe will be addressed much, much faster than knights problems were. I am confident of that. |

The only problem I have with this tweek/re-balance or whatever, is the way its being done. Piecemeal. I would much rather see NGD take the time to search the data and compile a list of ALL the weapon/items that need changing, then do them all at once.
Doing one type at a time is just going to prolong the amount of concern felt by the players. I have 1 bow that may or may not be affected, but as I'm getting the CO12 error when I try to log into Amun, I cant check. I personally cant see it making alot of difference to the ACTUAL damage done - once you include armour, buffs, debuffs etc. But the drop in percieved damage from looking at the weapon stats is whats gunna cause concern. |
