I agree to resetting the RP counters as well, even though it would cost me about 148,000rp. Because of Syrtis beach save IMO RP has become utterly meaningless in RA now.

The key is account migration.

If we can transfer characters (and equipment- as is(or was?) the case on the XP server), this will be a GREAT GREAT thing. If not....i think it is a huge mistake as most players won't move, and all the new players will start at the new server. This will in effect kill off over time hundreds and hundreds of english speaking players.

I agree with you 100% percent!

I would love to migrate to that server as well, with my current characters and with my clan mates if possible.

The current english clans on Ra will probably grow even more slower now...and all the new english speakers will go to the new game server...

I would also accept the loss of my RP's just to have the chance to do this.

But, if its not possible then I am stuck on Ra.

NGD, is there no chance at all you will change your mind and allow the transfer of existing characters into the new server?

Looking at the replies in this thread, it looks like a lot players will switch if they can transfer their chars and items.

And most won't switch if they can't transfer.

If we could transfer, I also will accept the loss of my RP's if the counter is restarted...

This means total mess. New clans, new chars, the community will split up, not even in half.

Starting from scratch... doesn't sound good to everyone. It's a shame if we can't transfer

Sorry Kailer, but I fail to see how asking us to move to a new server whilst in the process losing all of our gear and more importantly, experience (not to mention all of the Xim that some of us have purchased and already spent) would be considered anything other than alienating...

As I said before, I would move too if our accounts could be mirrored. Any possibility of this?

One of the nicest things about Ra for an english speaker is that you can communicate with people who would normally be alienated by distance and language. 2 years of high school spanish didn't have a use for me until RO, and my ability to speak it has improved a lot just from the international server. There's no way I'm switching, even if accounts are transferable. I have too many spanish speaking friends on Ra. The only positive thing I can see is that I'll be submerged in spanish by the time the english community dies on Ra. Perhaps I'll become fluent.

NGD please tell us more! I'm really hoping you have a system that will make this an acceptable idea to everybody with bilingual friends.

If we can not transfer then I propose you do the opposite. Make the new server a spanish speaking server. That way Ra will attract more english speakers while the new server will attract all the new spanish speaking members. Hopefully this won't split the community up.

It boggles the mind that NGD wouldn't simply mirror the players.

Once the characters are copied over to the new server, the old RA account could then be deleted by NGD.

If th accounts dont get copyed over i can see more than 10% of the current english community moveing anywere... i dont exactly want to start over you can copy things to anum why not this server too?

Also i worry about the impact initialy of spliting the community i have a feeling that the english server will be underpopulated

or how about we keep RA and the spanish can have this new one
(you know we are your faves right? right?

)

anyway to sum up restarting - not moveing end of

If I can migrate at any given time (maybe with a premium item?) I might go over one day, if it looks like everyone is moving there.

I am NOT levelling again in another server though.

Migration = entire character + inventory + ximerin + gold. If I can do that, I will consider it.
