You must use your skills to prevent such a situation.
As you can see by looking at my previous post in this thread, I want all classes to have a counter to each possible scenario... just that it shouldn't be luck based.

Yep I stopped to play for a few time cause of this random luck of PvP who rules everything ... Evade/Block/Evade/Block and you : Eat that, eat that, eat that ... Wootabulus skill ... No matter what is your level ...

Luck rules ... As I and many players cannot understand when you have more than 600 HitChance how could it be possible that 9 Hits/10 of yours could be evaded/blocked ... HitChance means nothing ... Finally only evade and block chance seem to work ... In defense but HitChance for attack seem to be useless as you have 0, 100, 600 or more on it. Very very bad ruled ... And it's very strange because during the beta I have the feeling it wasnt be awful like that ... Yes it's maybe hard to say that but it's trully awful now ...

I'm also thinking of changing the way evasion/blocking/resisting is used.
Block: Melee.
Evade: Range.
Resist: Magic.

Good idea. I've seen a warrior miss 3 times in a row an archer knocked down half a meter in front of him. What was he, a Stormtrooper?

Yesterday I evaded 3 attacks in a row while my enemy evaded too. o.O
(Was on my lock)

The log was almost only white ^^

Evasion has always been a bit screwy, this is why I gave up playing a warlock, however regnum's weird mechanics as has been mentioned don't exactly help any, it would be better with a more natural system like any (pen & paper) roleplaying game, like the d&d style. Currently all the spells/skills you use on the opponent count as hits, you never miss, you always hit -- UNLESS the opponent applies a debuff on you which increases your miss chance from 0 to a positive value, in which case it IS possible for you to miss, but without this you always hit the opponent, they can then evade it, and if that fails they can block it, and if that fails they can resist it...

It would be much more natural to have a system where you have a basic attack roll, modified by any buffs and/or the weapon itself, and your level, and of course any debuffs, and compare this roll to the attacked player's evade/block rate, and to remove resists altogether. There is already an existing resist (the fourth layer; constitution resistance of knockdowns), however if you manage to constitution-resist a knockdown you are never notified of this, you just keep standing up.

Keep the evade and block, add both of these values up and compare them to the attack roll, and remove resist, but keep the constitution resist and make it notify when you successfully make a constitution save.

Or something like that.

Anyway, yeah, evasion has always sucked, but for the past 2 weeks (or however long ago it was), since the last big patch pretty much, evasion has been increased like 75%, which is _really_ bloody annoying. When mages can avoid 4 out of 5 hits/spells/skills, on a regular basis, something is just awfully wrong.

you should see the logs in Knight vs Knight combat ^^

Id post some put I lost my sceens when my Pc broke
Longest one I had was 9!! blocks in a row between us...

Wanna know something? Valour's marksman blocked 11 attacks in a row. Yes, I said marksman. Isn't deflecting barrier a great spell?

we barbarians try to hit targets but its mostly evashons its getting very old for the class it needs to be study more by NGD or barbarians are going to be very pissed off...
