I am completely agree with that /reset_powers make RO unique and it must be saved. But _if it is possible_ i'd like to see it realised in a train window like a button, without timeout. =)
Also it would be more сonveniently to add reducing buttons in a train window for disciplines and for powers as well. It will make reconfiguration more quick. Of course, i got no idea if this make the game more exploiteable. In this case it would be best to leave all things as they are now. |

I would like to add, that when ngd perform and update and modify spells, the /reset_powers is good as your current build may be less efficient so you need to find an alternative. Also as mentioned already as you level up you may want to try different combinations so again /reset is fine.
For conjors i dont need to point out how useful this is. As for my smelly goat, i use this to try to improve my character and as it stands, do not need to use this feature on him so much but on my other characters i do

The best of /reset_powers is, that everybody can develop and you do NOT know how XY is skilled when you meet him the next time. So the games stays interesting!
/reset_powers is one of the most important possibilities in regnum, no matter if it was intended or not. |

reset powers is very handy for several reasons....
1) the game skills are always changing... 2) You may put points in the wrong area by accident... good luck... (good to see you are still around AW devil |

actually I don't think that some kind of small restrictions to lv 50 characters would be problematic but I remember quite well that when I was still levelling at about lv 4x, I used to grind until there was some promising war, teleport to birka, reset, jump over the wall and join my realm mates. Imo every player who is not lv 50 yet definitely needs this kind of freedom, otherwise grinding would just get too boring while using a pvp setup would make levelling too slow for some classes. For level 50 characters I could imagine a restriction like 10 free changes after every patch and some gold for every additional change after those 10.

I posted a suggestion on this:
http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...ad.php?t=37217 Read carefully as this can actually give more freedom than the current system, and yet add some restrictions to make it true to an RPG game.

Regnum is no RPG game where everything works like in real word. And is doest not need to be so, it is great like it is. And even in real world you can always learn something new and forget old skills, at least I do so.
/reset_powers is really great to make the game interesting for a long time. You do NOT know that the mage X will stay skilled on for example spells and master of doom, next time maybe he is skilled on staff and does not care about your shieldbash and he and his mate kill you without problems... You have always to adjust to changes the others made, things they learned and the "forgot" and everybody stays dynamic. That makes the game interesting. Every restriction of /reset_powers would be bad for the game. |
