Every country has its crap, has its poor and ghetto areas, every country has some part of their underbelly rotting away.
Dubai? Well at least they realised the oil was running out and tried to diversify their economy.
Unfortunately, because the whole world economy is a farce and built up around fiat currency(yeah monopoly funny money) we are all basically screwed anyway. Check your countries and see how much of your wealth is backed by anything tangible.

But In Sweet T&T, we could be broke as hell, we just have a free party to celebrate that we ain't dead yet. In Tobago we call that "harvest". The whole village throws up food, grog and money to have a party. This happens every two weeks in different villages in round robin fashion. Gotta love island life.
