Bannable?

The other day, the last green relic was pulled by some healer that will remain nameless and taken to green central save. It was retrieved from there. The GM on duty said send screen shots and a report to get him banned. This player even admitted he did it because he is a multi-realmer and first and foremost a Gelf.

So, apparently this is a bannable offense. My only question is: why was he not banned instantly? Why the need to report it when a GM was on at the time and could see it?

We need written rules to point to, not just for the exploiters and exploited but also for those that are just trying to play the game and have fun.

So i'll use all options of this game (including legal multiaccs) as long as i don't have clear rules and informations what WE (cause i don't play this game alone) are allowed to do or not.
Atm these informations aren't clearly formulated anywhere and i don't see how you wanna ban someone this way (who asked a GM before having the last relic at Eferias for example..and was later said not to give it to gelfs).

I apologize. It must have been someone with a really close spelling then. I do have mild dyslexia so spellings often are hard for me, especially when they are close. It is possible a person made a closely named toon just to cause confusion within the realm. I know others saw it and I do need to take screenshots when these things happen and will in the future.

Linuxmage...funny thing is you do not know my Main toon. Silly man. Plus when I am on Krungle I get lots of people giving me kudos for my posts and my refusal to go away from the forums. I know you would like to see me an outcast, but it just is not the facts and will not happen.

We still need the printed rules somewhere and GMs need authority to ban instantly if those written rules are violated.

As far as I am aware, GMs do have the power to ban people.
Are you speaking about GCs? Or it might be me getting them mixed up.

The community volunteers (GCs) don't have the power to ban players, and should not have it for obvious reasons. Gamesamba administrative staff does have the power to ban both NGD and GS accounts, as far as I am aware.
