My profile shows my age?! Anyway... I'm younger then that (yes, and if we met you would be confused because I look even younger... no, I wont tell anyone where the fountain of youth is...)! I was referring to Gardner's initial works, which started on the second decade of 20th century if I'm not mistaken... my grandmother's birth was on the same decade. As for my mother being elder then the new age trends I assume that the "new age official start" (the age of Aquarius ^^) can be located somewhere in late 60's or mid 70's, hence my mother being elder then that.

But my assumptions may be incorrect. I just wanted to draw a line that could show the contrast between the relatively new "Wicca" movement and the way-before-Christ original Shamanic cultures (something that is redundant if we recall that at its core, the first "modern human" societies were... Shamanic).

But we may as well make a disambiguation here, I was focusing my reply on the "naturalistic" (as implying Shamanic teachings) aspects of the "Wicca" movement, which is more then that (often referred as "Neopaganism"). I may have oversimplified my reply... but nobody reads lengthy posts ^^

your right, most people don't read the lengthy posts but as you assumed yea i believe wicca is only around 30 or so years old, so relatively new, unlike the shamanic beliefs that span back many years

I always knew there was something special about you Signatus. You were always able to see, to read, between the lines and words of my posts. I began to wonder if you came from an enlightened current (ever since the thread that you dubbed "disambiguation on the use of the 'twat' word") , but I didn't realize the current ran so deep... You're lucky to come from such a fine heritage of enlightened seekers of truth...

And speaking of that thread you were the only one to make the connection between my beliefs and the three names (and how many hell hounds be left) that I posted. It's rare to see such an individual among such clueless people, truly rare...

Yet do you see how some would want to burn me at the stake for things they attribute to me, things that are not me and never would be me?

But you and Inkster should know that I'm not Wiccan. No, my practice is much more solitary and more dark, as I'm sure you know...

The good thing about the "Wicca" and other new age pro-nature theological sets is that they actually made something that otherwise would probably be impossible, to put nature on pop-culture's agenda. Now "nature" is a consumption good, better that then being just "a natural scenery"...

But nature's balance is seriously compromised and if there's something we should fear more then H_B's hell hounds () is the melting of polar regions...
This is the most intelligent and beautiful thing I have witnessed anyone say on these boards...

Man has lost his connection to nature, for we see the signs of it every where... And he has exchanged the gift of earth and the wisdom that she may impart to him for objects that only dims his vision and sucks the life from his soul... Yet, man is about to meet his destiny though he know it not...

You truly are wise Signatus beyond your years - child of light!

However, don't be so quick to discredit the power of my hell hounds

Thanks, but there's nothing really special about them. My origins are humble and modest... as I try to be and many times fail.

Clavicula Salomonis... interesting... to say the least (yet I've not read it all, only references, but I'll buy the 1995 edition one of these days... thanks to you, I got really curious about it)

You, above all, should know that it's the destiny of those who follow such path... to be burned

On a more serious note, what did you expect when you treat almost everyone between the despicable and the abhorrent (not to mention the famous "twat" and the more recent "boy")?

Oh no! I do acknowledge their power, I get stroked by Prince Sitri whenever I see a beautiful woman but unfortunately I do not possess a circle and a triangle to access if it is due to the cloth she wears or if what lays underneath deserves also my attention...

You have been your own worst enemy there, for the way you have spoken to people.

On a side note, in England where im from Witches were never burnt at the stake.
The English were far more civilized about the whole affair.....
The accused was tortured, drowned, hanged but never burnt at the stake.
How civilised the English were about it. (yes i am been ironic here)

In denmark we were clever

if a woman was being suspected of being a witch they would tie rocks around her and dump her in the ocean at the docks, if she would float she was a witch, if not she was telling the truth when she complained.
If she was a witch she was burned XD
