Ra is overtly bashed and hyped for no reason to be honest. I've been playing on and off for some days(years) and the (over)population is no way near to what it used to be, say one or two years back. I would call it a healthy population, as it's ought to be unlike Haven.

1) Ra has no realm chat, everything is with banners. Ironically enough I find it more peaceful and settling playing on Ra with more people without realm chat than less people with realm chat on Haven.

2) Language is not necessarily a problem at all, most of the time when you are communicating in English, if you have people around who can speak English, you will get a response and you barely run into silence. They even try to put in some whatever English they can find, unlike Haven where one non-English word and you would be scrutinized to hell.

3) Best part of Ra is you feel like playing a game, for the game, irrespective of names or realms, no matter what part of the map you are playing on, unlike Haven where people act like they run a bloody country with all the ready-to-gun unethical game breaking things thrown in for good measure.

4) Ra is less talking, less waiting, more playing, more fighting.

I agree to the merge of Haven with Ra.

ya i would not support merging Ra and Haven. From what I hear, Ra has a very different culture and language set, which is fine. Regnum should have the ability for different player communities to express themselves.

I feel the North American/European playerbase actually needs a separate voice in Haven because they have different preferences from Ra's natural playerbase.

Instead, I feel ngd should focus on the problem of gaining a larger NA/European playerbase for Haven and solve that problem instead of stepping back from this important market.

To date, they have not really identified the real obstacles behind this and have applied the same solutions for Ra to Haven. This may not be appropriate.

(edit: Ive just read irsh's post. I trust Irsh and if his interpretation somehow makes my response not fully valid, then maybe NGD should give it a shot. I myself and probably other newer players would sorely miss realm chat though).

actuly this is true, but actualy the difference is that Haven ppl likes to stand doing nothing more you can see that even with a population much smaller, Haven has central saves with MUUUUCH more ppl sitting and afk-ing.

the only 3 things that i see that are noticiable different (besides the bigger pop lol) are: commerce (which is HUGE: there are RA ppl who are actualy in a routine of commercing 10x then doing anything else); hunting gangs (which is the most frequent way of action that goes on there, and their hunts are made by 4-10 groups usualy); and archer rate (like MOST of them are archers, specially marxman. Max range faggots are more comon there too)

about merging: i would love it. could not be bad having more frequent and larger fights everywhere

Ra isn't a neglecting monster like Haven, You don't speak spanish np, people don't bash you for it there.

Haven on the other hand...

Haven is dead, it will never rise again even with the Valhalla - Nemon merge, it will die out again and again.

I get better ping on Ra than my suppose "home server" go figure. So the international players on Haven shouldn't have an issue either.

I remember when I used to play Ra and it's pretty much the same as in it makes the game fun. The action doesn't stop, people don't just simply sit at a save and wait for action like Haven.

There is more opportunity in Ra, you can Dragon, war, or hunt. It all happens simultaneously where as Haven, we either are doing Instance, hunting or at a single fort.

To the OP, may we get a screenshot of NGDs reply? As it stands I don't really believe you. Why would they leave the fate of the servers in your hands; to get the peasants to rally together and give you our opinions? Are you the chosen one?

OT, having played on RA for a full week now, I have a few things to say.
(Everything below is from the perspective of playing in Alsius on RA.)

Apart from what all Irsh said being true, I faced problems initially because of lack of commerce tab in warzone. You find more more at realm gate than at CS sometimes because they want to buy/sell And if you don't get into a kind clan which can lend you good items, you're in for a long term play with market items or drops.

Because good items are traded only in mags and mags are a thing that you find once in blue moon at RA. There is a separate sect of people there who do nothing but mag hunt all the time they're on lol. Without special mag-hunts, I usually have around 20-30 mags by lvl 48 on Haven. But I got like 4 mags on my lvl 47 toon in RA

Also, RA is not for the chatty types. That's a very good feature of RA's populace. They talk less and fight more. I know there are a few people who come online just to talk and chat with their virtual friends and the community (nothing wrong with that I guess). But for people like these, RA will be not as entertaining as Haven is, at times.

And ganking. God. I tried to grind in trelle beach at lvl 46. I got ganked 6 times in 10 minutes at some times. In Haven, I rarely get ganked at trelle beach. As errei mentioned, RA is a huge target ground for hunters and marksman.

Overall, to conclude, my experience on RA was a very refreshing, enthusiastic and encouraging one. I'd have left for RA already, but I don't want to grind all over again and I don't want to leave my clan and Alsius community on Haven.

So, yeah, if the servers are merged, it'll be like a dream come true for me.

IF this is STILL true, then we all have no one to blame but NGD, as Ra, Haven, Nemon & Valhalla servers are all sitting in the exact same room at the very same data-service-center in Sweden. Hell, the 4 worlds might all be on virtual servers on just 1 or 2 actual servers for all I know. I do know forums also go down when Haven does.

That said, the ONLY way a player could routinely get very different connection-quality from these various servers all in the same place using the same connections is IF the routing & resource usage at this center or in the physical server itself is prioritized in the software settings to FAVOR one world over another all by design.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that NGD purposely takes bandwidth away from Haven even if it cripples gameplay there & gives it to Ra, just so long as NGD can maintain Ra's ping & lag as low as possible for their fav & 'flagship' server. Someone who could log into both servers years ago claimed, "NGD is obviously biased. Our gameplay here on Horus can be almost or even entirely unplayable, just so Ra's gameplay doesn't suffer any inconvenience at all.", but idk, as I can't log into Ra anymore since GameSamba took the CoR n. american market.

Back b4 GameSamba was ever involved & Horus was just Horus (no Raven, no Haven), I recall this BS often occured. Peak population times on Ra were the absolute shittiest time to play Horus; Ra would be running smooth as a baby's butt, but Horus would be a freezelaggin'-pingspike-nightmare where we daily learned to call this game 'Lagnum'. Plain & simply, NGD should provide equal quality gameplay on all 4 servers, period ... mergers or NO mergers ... & if economically possible, expand their service-center bandwidth & onsite-resources to fully meet ALL of the demands of each of the 4 worlds & their userbases.
