by animation. There are a lot of different real/mystical creatures that can be used as prototypes. Regarding swords: if your sword is called "Tony's pizza knife" who would ever notice that? |

My silly advice:
Don't try to be a jack of all trades and master of none, which is the path taken so far. Pick a couple things, and truly deliver on those first if you want to recover any semblance of credibility. My pick would be the two burning items which are jewellery and all things invasion, especially the invasion block times. Deliver here with polish and it will be the signal that the management has indeed turned the corner. Roadmaps are nice. They also build sometimes unrealistic expectations. Any roadmap should try to be very conservative in scope, offer sensible time-lines with buffer, present simple deliverables and most importantly, avoid vague and nebulous statements. I look forward to viewing that new roadmap. How it is presented will say a lot. The game has many problems. Spreading thin to cover many bases is probably not the best approach. In the end, I am very interested to see if NGD management has learned the tough lessons of years gone by. Best of luck. |

That's what I've been doing since the first day I've been given the management of Regnum. I dare to say that I only picked one: invasions. Mixing an update about content (jewellery) and gameplay (invasions) wouldn't be a good start. I will focus on smaller updates but more frequent. The first past errors I want to mend are: testing in Amun and hearing what users have to say about it before going live. Making changes from the point of view of the player and the point of view of the designer in a second level (as important as it is, if it's not playable it doesn't matter if it's nice).
Adapting previous pipeline to the new one requires some fixing and modification of our internal tools. The Roadmap will only be about possible and highly wanted additions/modifications.

Good luck, looking forward and congratulations for position! Hopefully this time it will be done in the right way so that players can restore (even partially) faith in your work. Otherwise, another disappointment will be added on stack and I am afraid memory is almost full of it and our faith in you will collapse that no reboot will ever recover.

That is a fair approach. Jewellery is not nearly as important as invasions and you would have to manage your resources appropriately.
Invasions surely needs some love for it is the prime content. I sincerely wish you well because, Invasions (as is) is one of the most difficult things to balance in this game, especially on a server such as Haven where population fluctuations are not doing you any favours. You guys did the 'test and apply' approach in Amun a while back and I think it was a massive success. One of the best updates ever came from such an approach. It probably will work out well. As for the roadmap, I'll wait to see with an open mind. I think you guys already know what is most wanted, for the community has hammered that home incessantly. It will also be useful to know what is possible if only to shape expectations. Regards. |

e.g Play on RA with your lv60 and if you are sad or bored of the games state, play the same char on the old server (which is and has only lvl50 or lower content, just like pre-warmaster). Inventory-Changes: E.g If Bob sells a lv50 Bow to Timmy on the old Server, Timmy also finds this Bow on Ra and vice versa. Char-Databases are therefore prompted, compared and rewritten depending on which Server happens to be recently visited. Lvl60 Items are in your "old-Server"-DB but are just not viewable there. It was just a crazy idea, I've no idea if something like that is even possible hardware-wise. It could divert the population, it could hopefully bring back others. Just like you said, it could deal with current issues.
