Yes
But, to use this functionality the platform must support it.
To add this support to Linux, enable Composite in Xorg.conf and run either a composite window manager or simply: xcompmngr -n"

I have to use SOME sort of composite manager anyway Znurre, my bet is compiz would show a bigger fps drop in glxgears than xcompmngr.

Also I bet that with gnome+xcompmngr you would get higher fps in glxgears than with KDE4, so I think it's the best solution overall if you want compositing

I would also like to see this app in native binary btw, if this is possible. A C++ port maybe or smth like that, java eats up 50MB of ram just to run this little app

Well... you know how to manage it through c++ programing? :P
Maybe use jni is an option, but i don't know which functions an libraries use to manage the window.

Heh I could port it in C++, the problem is the libraries are not the same, you would have to rewrite a lot of stuff

About the timer titles: I think it would be nice to keep it the way it is supposed to work, with 3 different timers with different colors & titles, depending on where you right-click you get timer for the realm, like with gem display.

That wouldn't be so useful, since java will eat up 50 Mb anyway. You could port it to python :P

But it's really strange... have you seen the labels of rolgps that indicates the heap memory? With 3 plugins activated (+ main program)it don't take more than 15 MB.

50 Mb this app... is really strange. (or java lies :O)

Java allocates 50 Mb for itself, and then requests more if needed... So that's why making RolGPS small was a good idea, so it would not take extra memory :P

15 min. counter added.

Tell if this things work ok please.

The automatically start of the counters maybe in next version .

PS: Try without external tricks.
Tested it on gnome+xcompmngr, without external tricks (ie, devilspie rules were disabled for this application).

Results:

Undecoration works.
Always on top works.
Opacity does NOT work (slider is disabled).

Bugs:
Normal timer window has no title (I really need it to have a title, for devilspie).
15min timer window has no title, always has white colored letters.
30min + 120min timers are still always ignis & red letters

Requests (not for me, I can "fix" most of what I don't like with devilspie, but windows users cannot): Make options for undecorate/always on top/opacity for the timer windows as well.

I can test it on windows as well if you want me to.

PS: Another request: If it is possible, add a feature to use smaller fonts on timers (and maybe status window too), to make the window smaller, or just make it maybe resizeable? I will have to use devilspie for now to do it
