Because they didn't need it with all the speed. Archers are so spoiled in this game they lost all common sense, this is a change for everyone, but obviously the very fact that it affects only one class to that proportion show how stupid the whole thing was.
It affects every ranged class IMO. I'd forgotten how anti-archer you are, so I kind of feel no point continuing to discuss this with you =/

I don't think being pro-balance equals with anti-archer. I'd be anti-whatever overbalanced class. Anyway, I played both Marks and Hunter, and running backwards with Escapist at +50% (with my Hunter) was really a joke. Even without Escapist, it always was too much. But feel free not to continue discussing this with me

It still surprises me that people still put up with this bullshit and continue playing. This game to me is a glaring example of what I hate about proprietary software development. This game stopped being "community driven development" long ago. NGD will continue to alienate it's userbase, continue to add features that are detrimental to gameplay and continue to increase costs to play properly. Regnum has what is known as a high turnover rate. That is most unfortunate because once, long ago I had good faith that this game would be great. I once stood up for the actions of NGD, believing that things would get better and they had only the best intentions in mind. I was a fool to believe that a software company has anything but profit margins on its mind. Only willing to do the bare minimum to keep the userbase out of discontent long enough for them to dole out some green. I feel for all those people that have spent countless amounts of money on a game that has become increasingly less enjoyable. I'm just glad I saw though the bullshit in time to realize i'd only be wasting my money.

I dont like this change because as many people said i just can be quiet while i figth, if the point its to get in range and then movemens 0 to be a impressive battle of who resist/evades more i just go to play rock/paper/scissors.

This is like the "hit in movement" feature, only helps people who only clicks the skills and when thye see 5 you are not in range messages they walk a little more forward.

There is a lot of things who help the kite with mobs, i dont know why this helps in pvp to anyone, because this is only to difficult the grind, forget about classes balance.

I agree with you, only I never thought it would ever be a "great game". I candidly thought it would become a "good" game, that is a simple game good at what it does. It always lacked originality, but at least it came with a native GNU/Linux client. At one point the game variables were good, the game was fun, but the client wasn't nearly ready. Now that the client is getting better (really slowly), the game variables are messed up and people have nothing to look for. Invasions could be fun, but not "real fun". I'd enjoy much more improved strategy, realm balance, class balance and for some classes full redesign, and player-made strongs/buildings.

But I guess NGD is working on something (they said so), so we will have to wait and see. I'm just afraid that what they may find exciting is very far from what I find exciting .

I thought that this game would be a decent game, if they got lucky it would do something nice....

I thought that the community was strong, the players were ready and the programmers were actually listening to us!...

Seems that the community is the only good thing this game has to offer now

Like magnet I found it funny all the whining. But I think it's not a good move. I logged in my 3 main chars. And 2 of them were harder to play. Barbarian, and Warlock. With dracus I don't know I spent my time running around pinos where I couldn't see any door and couldn't enter because they're was a door.
