I havent been playing too much to really see alsius but, not long ago ya used to play very smart. A group goes threw the back and area the mob, and the front finishes the group, idk what happend to that tactic ya used to use, alsius was always out numbered and ya never used to argue, because ya could take out a group better then any of the two realms. Also it feels like theres more alsius hunting then syrtis, and syrtis always used to hunt in groups of 10
PS Ink and Eli ya killed my warlock yesterday |

I've been in all three realms... so I'll just post my opinion about this :P
Syrtis, obviously, has the largest amount of people... but the worst in organization. They are like sheep, and will follow the first to move; if they have a good leader, they would not only outnumber everyone, but destroy them in a strategic way . If there is no leader, typically they will not move... only chase. They need someone to make up their minds for them in terms of moving. Ignis has a nice amount of people and a reasonable about of strategy, and is typically winning 50% of the time, and losing the other 50%... unless they get on a roll, in that case watch out, they can even take down the mighty Syrtis for minutes on end Alsius has the least amount of people, and the greatest amount of organization in most cases, but 10v35 is still 10v35... whenever we win back pinos, we usually either head off to Trele to fight there, or head to PP... but we rarely do anything past defending a fort. Other than that there might be 5 or 6 people attacking meni asking for help. It reminds me of what DMC told me while I was in Ignis... seven hunters with repitition shot can take out an army.... Alsius is great with coordination, but I think we need to work on timing in a few cases... if Alsius had as many people as whoever they were fighting, we'd win 90% of the time. Period. EDIT: Enough of Enough is the name of MY threads :O

Fixing the realm balance would be easy- Alsius could just be made into the default start up realm for a while. |

Znurre, there have been a few threads like this in the past (Spanish forums) but NGD refuses to acknowledge/take action regarding the situation, just like the rest of the unbalanced areas of the game.
Offering a small amount of Xim, or simply putting a message for the least populated realm (not obligatorily Alsius) would help, but it was needed a few months ago when a lot of people left: they left because the game became boring (and unbalanced) and with a lesser influx of people Alsius couldn't renew itself like Syrtis or Ignis do. A lot of great players left because of the unbalance and influence of luck in the game, two classes have been dying (Knight & Warlocks) and Alsius has become really underpopulated... This is not new, it's at least 6 months, yet NGD still hasn't reacted. So Znurre I understand you when you feel like quitting, hunting is boring and fort wars are extremely repetitive when you're outnumbered and with all the auras. You just have to consider why you still play. Do you still enjoy the game? If not, is it for the people you play with, and if yes does it justify playing a game you don't enjoy?

I noticed that when you are starting a new account now, the first realm to appear on your selection list is Alsius. Having Alsius as the middle selection on top of the other two realms should make more players pick it subconsciously. NGD should also make Alsius sound more attractive. Make the beautiful Alsirian landscapes a selling point for example.

So let's assume that Alsius had some great PR and garnered a good number of new comers. Are the level 50s gonna wait for these newbies to get to decent levels to be able to aid them at the War Zone? Will they be patient enough?
Thinking about it, when I put myself in their place, it would still be a struggle. Given that grinding is really sadistic nowadays, and xim isn't available to everyone (with means or no means). I bet (but I'm sorry to assume if I'm wrong) Znurre is thinking of another means: To limit the number of players protecting the fort.

I blame The Lord of the Rings!!
Elves have become too popular. And this idea: Quote:
It would give us a larger army, but some of them would be unwilling volunteers... |

Little kids like to play in Syrtis, and some of the people who love the evil, the bad, you know the people who have no creativity in their names (the guys who can't make a real RPG name, but instead they have to have something with dark, or shadow, or evil, or hell, or blood, or blah and blah, you get it) those choose to play in Ignis. Face the facts, Alsuis isn't attractive at first glance, and thats the problem |
