how does precise block even compare to sc?

precise block still only gives us a % chance block and usually doesnt help me all that much, knights are percentage tanks and unbalanced its all about luck msot of the time even with precise block on the only real spells i rely on to keep me alive are def buffs

The thing about Precise Block is that, if you block you block 100% of the damage and 100% of the effect.
That is a very, very, powerful protection if you are lucky

Here another example of overpowered South Cross
And this was only a lvl 3 SC, but hits me, a lvl 49 Knight, with 3206

The lvl of South Cross doesn't matter, for the damage.
Lvl 5 damage = lvl 1 damage, only difference is the chance of causing the additional 100% damage.

Precise block is 30%
SC is 40/50/60/70/80%

Sc if far more likely to work wereas PB is random, sometimes I will block unnoticabely more than normal sometimes every other hit, never everything

SC is an offensive spell. With precise block, you're not restricted to blocking every 6 seconds, which with SC you are restricted to casting every 6 seconds. Furthermore, you don't speed mana on PB every 6 seconds either.

The block passive alters the base block chance while PB is a layer on its own.

Honestly, if knights didn't have precise block, or it was tone donw in some way; what would be the purpose of being a knight? What needs to be changed as we all know is the evasion system. Then I think it would be good to start modifiying spells, but untill then no.
