there I can answer something right and after a nice discussion we all could live there happily ever after - on a server that has no communications at all I would not be that happy.

Well, given what occurred.....if someone is going to be rude to me or friends of mine.....might as well stay where I already have lvl 50 chars.

Sorry Horus - I really wanted to give it a go...but theres behaviour like that on both servers....so if I'm going to experience it....like I said above...I'll do it where I can't understand most of the childishness.

Yesterday I logged on and asked for a inner beach party and got told "STFU" by someone I saw the first time the same day. I actually found it quite funny that people who don't really have a clue yet about the game are telling off others in the realm chat.

If someone knows me a bit better then they can tell me to STFU and I might listen... or not

It is very sad that this not only drives you guys back to RA (and I know we could have needed you badly in Alsius) but it likely also makes a lot of other new guys quit only have the immature ones quit a little bit later because 'the graphics are shit' or whatever and that is quite sad.

We do have some more experienced players who do have their - uhm - moments but generally the more experienced players are a nice bunch to play with.

As for how to solve this? I guess ulmanyar made some very good point although I tend to just leave realm chat alone for a bit if it gets too annoying or I hand out an /ignore. I feel too old to get wound up in too many discussions - scratch that, arguments I meant - on the internet anymore.

Its sad that you guys give up allready. I personally dont bother much whit the
alsius realm chat due to the wierd conversaions that occur there. I mostly stay
in general/clan chat to have fun. And most off the ppl i talk to is friendly, true
there are some douchebags in alsius that allways wants to be heard but most
off them are on everyones ignore list.

And about the rude and child like behavior. I have been playing mmorpg´s since
Ultima online was released and there have allways been idiots, and you cant
seem to get rid off them. The only good part in good old UO was that you could
kill them over and over again untill they didnt dare to leave the town.

Hope you reconsider and try it again, because most off the "regular" players are
nice and you allways have the /ignore option

Check Ignis Horus. When I read this thread I think what the hell are you all talking about. There's really not much offending in the realm chat - it's never that bad as you all describe in this thread. Ppl who pose questions mostly get their answers. Generally every1 is polite.

Of course there are sometimes childish talks but this happen on each server and each realm. Kids get bored fast and stop talking shit even without any remarks from long playing ppl. There are clans for such kids where they feel good and talk with other kids the way they like.

Everything changes when you get your char to enough lvl that you can go with him to wz. Everything is different there and general chat is worth much more than realm chat. Kids rarely get to high levels for not dying in wz too often, so they mostly leave the game or got used to not spam/offend/etc and start to be more polite.

Horus needs good players. People that are actually interested in playing.

I had a great conversation yesterday with a player that very recently moved from Syrtis Ra to Alsius Horus. He put his head down, power leveled a marks to 50, and was backfilling quests for gold and a few items. If he plays regularly at the time we had the conversation, his firepower will make a BIG addition to our small evening defence force. His efforts will be greatly appreciated.

Comp, we had a few good converstions in realm. You gave me a couple of good tips too. Thx for the advice.

I'm starting to get the impression that some of the noisemakers are there to drive away people and keep Horus underpopulated, and sadly it sounds like it's working. An entire realm/server getting punished for the actions of a few troublemakers.

It's too bad. You'll miss a lot of fun and good players. If you change your mind, we will still be here defending the realm. /ignore still works.

Horus Ignis is worse as well. Least they were able to make a char past 20s, I lost my appetite lvling at lvl 7 being told off by losers also, ignis horus chat is really obscene and disgusting.

Well, I'm going to give it a go...but be warned (Those who troll and get obsene and use vile language) one warning to not be obsene then I'll /ignore and report to NGD. I can't enjoy the game (and I'm sure many others can't) when someone is being childish telling others to "STFU", etc.

I didn't have to put up with it on RA because.....I couldn't tell what they were saying.....but on Horus....I can and I do not have to put up with it...and NGD has been VERY VERY clear on this type of behavior with previous bans.

I totally disagree. Loosers don't get past lvl20-30. Just don't listen to such loosers, they are everywhere. On Ra it could be even more disgusting where they whine don't have mobs they need to finish the quest simply because there's so much players they kill them all before such a looser can even find'em.

Remember Ignis Horus is underpopulated. You may have problem finding any1 online sometimes (timezone problem).

Lvl7 char u make in 1-1.5h of playing, so u really had to play long (irony) to make such judgements.

And make difference between exchanging opinions, argueing and offending. This really helps in making judgements.
