As I am from germany I know very good what Katyn means to poland and to their relation to russia. I myself worked once with some bones of the victims from Katyn to analyze the holes of bullets in the bones.

Happening something similar again to polish elite on russian ground is utterly devastating for poland. I just hope that relations to russia won't be affected by that.

I do understand how hard it must be to reorganize a working public and military leadership when half of the old leadership suddenly died. Hopefully poland can do this soon and succesful.
Maybe this way it is even a chance for poland to go another direction in politics since Lech Kaczyński's way of acting (i.e. his opinion about homosexuals and his agressive style about german "centre against expulsion") wasn't well accepted in many countries.
However, I am realy sorry for poland, that there was a second Katyn. Now Katyn stands more than ever before for the doom, that poland experienced in the past.

Yeah, there's some black fate about this forest. I really am glad there are people like you who actually are interested in this. We were kinda living with feeling nobody really gave a shit about Katyn. Maybe Wajda's film "Katyn" wasn't the best film of all times, but it does highlight important matters and is worth seeing.

Ok, I didn't know this paper isn't so serious, but none the less public jokes are too soon. I'm a distant person, I can joke about myself and my nation, but there has to be time for everything to cool off. I thought some people would respect that. Pity there's no sense of honour in some people.
