This is available but it's half baked I believe. To get the weapon trails from elemental gems, you have to embed the said elemental gem in offhand weapon only. It won't work if you have done it in a mainhand weapon. It has been like this on live server ever since dual wield debuted, and I hoped it would be fixed in the new engine, but it's not.

However, there is a very dirty fix for this. It appears to me that the weapon stats and effects are somehow tied to the combat stance mode. So if you want to get the effects from a gem embedded in main hand, this is how it's done. First, equip one hand main weapon only, hit some mob, you will see the effect, then equip offhand, hit it again, you will still get the effect but you have to never get off the combat stance mode after this. If you relax your character, the effect is lost.

I hope they fix it so we get effects regardless of what hand we embed gem in.

And, this happens on my PC: Core i7 3.4, Nvidia GTX 460, 8gigs RAM, Win 7 64bit.

Are you using OpenGL or DirectX rendering?
I have very similar issues (Flickering with FXAA, black screen with higher AA settings) with my GeForce 550Ti using the Linux game client (OpenGL) - however in my case VSync enabling does not change anything.

OpenGl seems to be second matter on NGD projects.
Tons of graphical gliches even MacBookPro(old system),Mac Pro(last system) ,or linux system..normal system...or maybe surak does not like ati cards,sorry man ,bot i get by far better performances on my ati than others nvidia.....

not sure if this is a bug or just my computer but when I try to change vid options in game it says it needs to restart but I get a box that says server not availible

I still have green/red flickers even when disabling Color Correction.
Speaking of it, it's what causes the graphics to be so dark and fade too, it's way better without (but still too washed out)

FXAA is what is causing the colored flickers and does not do anything else at all, anyways enabling Antialias causes a black screen.

Other issue with FXAA : if I select an object/player, the screen blacks out. ( http://wstaw.org/m/2012/08/04/screen...4_02_12_53.jpg )
It immediately goes back to normal if I deselect or turn the camera out of the object's range.

What is the difference between "Ultra" and "Very High" render quality?
How I enable "Ultra" render quality (I don't have it in the list)?

Why the client ignores "vg_antialiasing = 4" in the test.cfg?

Why Regnum is not multi-threaded?

The bug where players spawn in the ground is still present, it consumes MUCH processing time of the game thread (from stable 60 fps down to 2-10 fps).

When I activate FXAA, everything is too blurry, normal antialiasing seems ok.

Everything is much darker than on live server. Colors seem washed out unless I activate color correction, but then everything becomes even darker.

Lighting is weird - when I stay on one place and rotate camera, ground lighting changes with camera angle. So when I have dark area bellow my character and move the camera around it by e.g. 180 degrees, the character has totaly light area bellow it. Lighting shouldn't change like that when rotating camera.

FPS got lowered, from around 80 to 60 in 1280x1024. it might be because of new eye candy, but I can't notice any graphical enhancement when compared to live server even with everything maxed in both. 20FPS lost for feature "everything much darker and broken lighting", not good for me.

I couldn't do any screenshots in time, my PSU is broken (it stops giving current to the PC randomly and everything turns off after that ^_^. The PC also refuses to boot all the time until I try to turn it on like 100 times)

GPU: geforce 9600GT
OS: linux@amd64
OpenGL

I also tested on my laptop with Intel GMA x3100 gpu in fixed pipeline - everything seems same as on live server, no graphics issues and very much the same slideshow: ~10 fps in 1024x768. (okay, I know I keep saying this all the time, but it's hard to give up on this when I used to have ~25 before the UI update made some time ago).

Edit: I also noticed there is still this bug with players looking like they were mounted on invisible horse, flying in the air in "sit mode", their animations are bugged and it is not possible to see if they attack or not.
Also weapons animations still bugged. Sometimes you can't see the weapon in your hands while in combat mode, and sometimes you keep seeing it in hands while not in combat mode.

Nice updates, looking forward but i can't see any new magnas weapons in amun, did they cancel it ?
