Stop it! No reason to start insulting someone for having another opinion.

I like there to be some grind in a game to get rid of those people that refuse to put in the time to learn to play, but without new blood this game was dying, was on a downward slope. One universal truth is 'if it isn't growing, it is dying.'
...on the other hand the opportunistic mass market focus in updates of last years did not stop the downturn. Alot of MMOs switched to F2P and the environment became harder. I think changes are necessary to stay alive, but they could loose balance and the former core which made this game great once is gone forever. The point is despite groarks now oldschool looking description the game was fresh, agile and fun.
Furthermore no grind is less income for NGD! I think boost times should not be regular cause of adoption.

BTT: I voted yes.

Really kids, you dont know what you r talking about. You just came out of the egg and you think you know it all. Just wait some more time. What Groark said it's true and it's not so long ago (2 years?). Well maybe for little kids 2 years is a lot, lol. There were no xp-scrolls and no realm tasks. And, Veter, the xp curve from lvl 40 to 50 was way harder than now to lvl 60. You should be glad NGD made it so easy for you so stop whining and get your little asses to lvl 60

Regarding the xp curve:
Before the lvl 60 expansion, the equivalent xp needed for lvl 50 back then is about the same as reaching lvl 54 now.
Therefore, lvl 50 before expansion was more easily reached, than current lvl 60.

However, as said before, those boosts make it much easier than ever. Back on haven we never had any boosts or events, and still many people managed to get to max lvl.

The fact remains, that grinding is an ultimate pain. You kill mobs again and again, for horus, days, moths. The benefit you get is few power points, some health, new equipment (only if you manage to get your hands on some) etc.
Grinding should be made more entertaining, group effort encouraged, more quests added etc. in order to make the game experience more appealing.

I agree, that the xp curve is more-less fine - it's possible to have several max lvl characters..
What I don't like is the system of leveling. The fastest way to level is to grind solo for hours and hours (note, the "grind feasts", where several players grinded in groups is perhaps even faster, but because of lack of coordination, and only little knowledge about it, it's not used). There are many suggestions on the forum, how to provide players with more enjoying experience of gaining higher levels, such as instanced PvE/GvE sessions etc.

HERE is where new quest ideas is being discussed. If you have other ideas like how to encourage grouping or lower level PvP or RvR action please post it in the Suggestions forum.

As I have mentioned repeatedly, GMs in game have a value aside from Exp. Boosts. It is these values to the game I think we all should be concerned with, things like buggy mobs, disruptive behavior, helping new players to understand the game, and just giving the feeling that the game hosts care about the community and continually work to keep the community vibrant.

The topic here is about the cake, not the icing, so please, if you want to argue about boosts, do so somewhere else. Let us get back to the cake, the core of what GMs do to aide in our game-play experience and how their absence detracts from this experience for both new players and old. This is not about boosts, which may go away at anytime because those are based on company policy just like codes, but all the other things in game GMs do, things that are more part of a definition of what a GM is and based on the powers instilled in them with the tools at their disposal.

Please get back on topic guys.

PS - I believe someone who voted on the poll under 'no' used several accounts to vote multiple times for five votes were registered under 'no' in about a 20 minute period. At no other point in this poll have that many votes been registered in total in that small of a window of time. Just saying, even though the poll still has a majority stating in favor of the GM staff returning.

Oh god, I laughed so hard I almost shat myself. Nobody cares enough about your stupid poll to log 5 accounts... the results are meaningless, and will change nothing.

I've bolded the part of your post I want to criticize.

IMO these are things a developer should ensure happens on their own accord, not because it's a GM teams job to do so. GM's should be there to administer bans properly and organize events, not fix buggy mobs or help new players understand the game better, or even help the community seem vibrant. NGD shouldn't rely on GS as a crutch to fix the problems they've neglected to fix over the years. Don't get me wrong, I love GS and they've done a lot of good for the game, but they shouldn't be there to pick up after the developer.

The band-aid only covers the wound, it doesn't heal it.
