I guess there will never be a thread without people beeing mad at each other...

sociopath, just accept other people's point of view, especially when it is a topic that is related to real life, even more when it is a sensible topic like love.

Let everybody tell his/her opinion and comment it, but do it in a proper way and don't tell other's they are kind of stupid because they discuss about things from which you think there is no need to discuss.

People go around espousing this romantic idea of "love" but rarely do these blind romantics know what it really means...

This thing we call love, really, "what is it?"

If you ask people what attracted them to a person "they love" you may get a wide range of answers such as...

"When I first met him/her I was attracted to the physical (example, muscle tone, beauty) characteristics"...

or

"When I first met him/her I was attracted to their personality (example, humorous/witty, smart)"...

It's funny isn't that this thing that we call "love" people bet it all, their whole life, to hinge on something so superficial?

I mean the initial attraction that one has for an individual is based on only outside characteristics, characteristics that may or may not be true...

So what does this mean about human nature, that humans would risk their happiness on so little knowledge of an individual?

Well, sadly this answer comes from a very old notion of what lies at the core of a human...

"I'm nothing without you" - some others say...

"In you I am complete" - still others say...

Yes, love is nothing more then need...

And if you need any other proof then what I have said here just look at the multi-billion dollar industry that exists to propagate such romanticized notions of "love"...

So when you look into the eyes of an individual that you claim to "love" ...
Don't look at them, but look at the needs that are filled by that person...
Look at what gifts that person has bought you...
And there you might find what you really are...

A greedy, needy little human...
