Why ppl see electronical music as those with a 'message' (or the lack of it) like some vocal stuff,
electronic music is dance music, it shouldnt give away messages, it should be good enough to dance to it

I have never listened to _music_ for the lyrics. Always the music comes first... Otherwise i'd even miss out on some of my favourite bands, that mostly play intrumental music...

Rock/noise bands: The jesus lizard, shellec of north america, big black, rapeman, scratch acid, slint, unsane, deadguy, shorty (the band, not the rapper), hammerhead (the americans, not the germans), mule, man... or astroman?, the reverend horton heat, ministry, NIN, today is the day, led zeppelin, descendents, dead kennedys, crass, melvins, sonic youth, jon spencer blues explosion, nofx, snapcase, the apemen, a minor forest, ...and you will know us by the trail of dead, gone bald

Some more relaxed bands: the doors, the beatles, frank zappa and the mothers of invention, jethro tull, june of 44, trans am, sly and the family stone, the mahavishnu orchestra

Classical composers: tchaikovski, orff, beethoven, list

Yes Klixon, but take in mind, that the growin popularity of electronic genres like: Hardstyle, House, Trance are typical dance music, and thats how it will be evolving in the nearest future; so ppl will see electronic music as only dance music (which is not good imo, but its way better than thinking that dance music should have the 'message')

hm ^^ I listen to music once a month usually when I am drawing and I don't need to think and I need to focus really hard.

Music makes thoughts go away. I dislike music with "message" unless I really sit and listen to words, but really, it has no effect on me
I prefer my own thoughts to make "music" and I usually sit in silence for hours
Or I listen to political radio

I am just almost always amused when I see 90% of young people wearing headphones and making their brains melt under pressure of somebody else's ideology and demands.

You make cults around your music. Do you see your own self WITHOUT the music? Could you actually stand the silence and sound of your own thoughts for a month, let's say?

EDIT: I guess there is one particular person I am referring to, but you all can stop and think about it
