was this quest inspired by the bug in WOW from 2005, Corrupted Blood?

The servers keep going down several times a day, and there's an issue where when the server goes down, the realm gates open up. This is because there is zero players logged in due to the server being down, and then a few players log in and one or two gets infected by doing something dumb. So you instantly reach the 20-30-40%-50% or whatever it is that is required within seconds of the server coming back up and the guards die.

This event has some issues but i still like they try something new.

When does this event end ?
I'll try the game again once the event has ended.
Hope someone knows the enddate.

lol ignis gate is also destroyed and now alsius gate is safe.. and syrtis gate still in danger
