mmm you should try going to a digital offset press, it should be a lot cheaper. Most printing systems (including the most used small, medium and big format ofsset) have a high initial cost because they need to create a matrix to print a design onto paper but digital offset uses a variety of techniques that work around using a matrix, like high end inkjet printers and xerography. Avoid medium format offset press (mostly used in the magazine industry)

Only problem is they may not want to take a small order if they are flooded with work (at least in a xerography press, because it takes a lillte extra time to "erase" the cylinder and they might rather print a 10.000 order continously than one of 100).

Now (this is important) I've only read about this, wich means I only know what's been said in class. It's up to you to research for the best prices.

Personally piz i think people would go nuts for stuff you've already done (especially Evendim I'd like him on a black mug ) but why just posters? Also you could do some original scenes from a zerg war or smaller pieces, inkster punching AwD in the face. Wudy biting valorious rageway's leg whilst compoundious knees him in the groin, and ofc Irae - Redstar - Dky three way fight would sell good IMO

I am almost Positive NGD would allow you to merchandise stuff you made (maybe even enlist you to make more merchandise for them) for a % of your profits not sure how that would settle with you but meh.

That's actually not a bad idea Gawyn, i know cafepress provide a service to print items onto various merchandise at no cost to the artist, so maybe Piz could also raise funds that way as they sent a small commission to the artist from each sale

Yeah, all the drawings you could imagine or order by mail, I'd do them specially for the prints. I can't really afford to do anything besides them right now

It's all nice what you guys say about printing and stuff, but the 20.000zł initial fund is a must in Poland for the cheapest way, and one unit would cost more than 10 euro without shipping. I can't print out ONE comic after somebody orders it on the internet, it does not work this way.
Like El Naso said, the matrix design etc is kinda expensive and it's not a one-shot thing. I also have been told that 20.000zł fund is just for 1000 copies. To make it profitable I'd have to print out 50.000 copies. It's a no-go.

Believe me, I have friends in printing company that could do such thing in HALF the price. So, imagine, I am giving you HALF the original cost. I am not able to pay even for digital enhancement of my comic, because it's a bad quality for print.

I cannot also print it out in other country and sell it on ebay without any company and taxes provided. It all has to be legal and done in Polish way if companies will print such thing out in huge amounts, I'm sorry guys, really. My mom has a business and she wanted to help me, but I can't go over it illegally or without money. But I don't have to pay taxes if I sell prints on Ebay in a retail way, so it's all fun and I can make some money out of it.

I thought of this: They're ready on the auctions, you guys order and pay, I print out and send. No investment coming from me this way, and there would be multiple sizes to choose from. I'd also could throw in some original drawings or even pages from time to time.

My guess is people would love personal portraits, mobs, war scenes and certain scenes from the comic. Personal Example: I wouldn't mind paying for the pictures of DVF (even if i already have downloaded and printed them), original artwork on DVF (maybe even the first page where i was revealed), more personal portraits cuz I'm greedy like that, Various mobs like the spiders, dragons, epic mobs.

I'd buy my own portrait, fuck yeah. I'd also buy another one with me and my friends (and my friends would buy that too). I'd also buy another one with my clan and our logo hanging above our heads (and most/some of my clanmates would buy that too). Don't worry about getting people to buy stuff about themselves. How about relam posters? Appeal to relam pride; one single epic enough relam themed poster and at least someone will want it in his wall. You could picture a huge battle about to crack at a relam's gate, iconic stuff like a relam hero holding his relam's flag up high in a victory pose after barely comming through a tough battle, funny stuff (you are good at comming up with theese) and so on. If an entire relam can relate to it there's a better chance to make more out of one poster :]

Me drawing just a realm flag is using NGD's merchandise. Me drawing Torg is just basing on said merchandise. I don't think I could sell something NGD guys drawn first.

Of course placing said realm flag within a drawing is more acceptable, but battle and after battle scenes were already in my mind.

I would definitely place an option to request a certain scene/picture/portrait which would cost a bit more than something made for everyone to buy. I think that would be fair.
