Some verse – the end of the old war and the beginning of the new.
I may have messed with the game's intended back story too much. Also apologies to Alsius, you are not mentioned at all here (and neither is Thorkul).
--- Writ upon the skin of trolls, bleached pink in the desert sun, the lore laid down upon a scroll, penned by the hand of Graj; ‘All there,’ said the Molok, ‘fetched, daring, bold, ‘we ask for naught but freedom.’ The fight they had bravely fought, scores of friends they lost, to green lands this tome they brought, to win the conflict true; Alliance seeked the Elves herein, destroy the cursed menace, of beings half reptilian, magicians and usurpers; The one they trust their fate unto, a sorcerer of note and skill, mad perhaps, they say 'twas true, his name could be Evendim; His followers, the elven mages, worked day and night for moons, To learn this secret of past ages, dreaded old necromancy; The Igneos, they held the key, the magic never lost did they, their champion, Daen Rha was he, by evil had been made; A decisive battle soon to be, a winning tactic needed, but soon acused of treachery, the mages and their leader; Thousands fought from either side, despoilers had the upper hand, 'til warlocks cast their hoods aside, dark skin around red eyes; From his stance, Evendim roared, the power quite insane, rained fire rocks upon the hordes, then Daen Rha attacked; For days on end the titans fought, their armies battled too, Rha's focus had been proper bought, the Elves gained victory; Now the elders cried with great disdain, for though the godlike beast was done, Evendim was nae dead, though slain, breathless words he spoke; A curse upon the lizard race, their magics to be bound, to never use upon the face, of this great precious land; ‘But what of you?’ the elders asked, ‘Your followers and such, ‘These magics, back they must be passed, ‘For dangerous they are;’ ‘Our hero, he will die without,’ the mages did reply, ‘Though Igneos are not about, ‘More enemies will rise;’ To keep these magics they intend, to hold the kingdom high, these lands protected without end, with arts both dark and high; To the desert banished they, their allies followed too, Evendim bound to stones arrayed, in a henge he may not leave; And so it was the war was lost, to naught but prejudice, and ages will it carry on, though now it be 'tween kin.

Agh! No! I've rhymed high with itself, and not even on a rhyming pair.
You guys are too kind.
