"User already logged in"

I started the client.
The client froze, would not respond. Still in a small window.
I waited some seconds, and killed it.

I restarted the client.
Attempting to log in, I get, "User already logged in."

Now, I did not select a character. How long does CoR hang onto a connection, thinking it has a user on the other end, when it doesn't?

I know in the actual game, it's about a minute. I get disconnected often enough.

But how long does CoR hang at the Character Selection screen, receiving no input, before it drops the connection? Shouldn't this be the same minute or so?

It's been 45 minutes, I can't log in, and I think this is not really an acceptable state.

Hour and ten minutes later, I can log in.

How... delightful.

I relaly think the character login screen needs to have a timeout. Shouldn't five minutes of no activity and no input be enough to say, "Nobody is connected to the other end. Terminate connection."?

I'm having this issue today. This time, the game client froze. No network activity, no disk activity, according to the task manager. It didn't show the full screen client, it simply froze.

Afterward, login became impossible. "User Already Logged In" is the displayed message.
