Experimental version of the new technology
Please, read this thread COMPLETELY before replying.
Hi Community, A new experimental version of the new technology is available in our download section. This means that you will be able to play in the official servers (Ra, Horus) with this test client. We are doing this for a more exhaustive test of the new version of the game. We ask all of the users that can test this version to do so. Remember that it's an experimental version. It could be less stable, less compatible and have better or worse performance depending on the settings. To test this version you must download the experimental installer and proceed to install it in a different folder from the one with the official version. Those users that have previously installed the experimental version will have to uninstall it and download the installer again. If you wish to download the experimental version you can go to our download section: Download section of the Regnum Online official site # Considerations: - Do not install in the same folder as the official version. - There may be problems of incompatibility with certain video cards. # Post formatting: - Indicate in a line the hardware settings of the used PC (processor, RAM memory, video card, operating system.) This step is required. Example: Intel Core2Duo 2.4 Ghz. / 2Gb. RAM / nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ / Windows 7 - Give a brief description of what happened during the test. This step is required. - Attach screenshots. Optional. We need you to follow the considerations, test and post all the errors you find in order to launch this version officially as soon as possible. For any kind of question, please go to the Current Version subforum. Users of NON nVidia or ATI video cards: You may have high incompatibility issues but please post all found errors. Regards,

My PC:
Intel Core2Duo 2.66 Ghz. / 2Gb. RAM / Ati 3850 / Windows XP 32 Ingame settings: LINK I was killing some monsters around, watching water, shadows etc... First problem i was facing was on the character selection screen: LINK Utghars are just too tall :P Another problem is, when you are ranged class an run in the attack mode towards some monster to be in range. There is no flashing on the monster so you dont know if you are already in the range or not. And one minor problem in the end. When you die the screen wont turn into the "black&white" colours LINK

Both problems get far uglier when I change the resolution in-game. And fps drop, too. Example: I start the game in 1280x1024, (20-30 fps) and change it in-game to 1024x768. (10-20 fps, although it's ~40 when I start the game in 1024x768) Some other errors: Character selection glitches: Weapon displayed wrong, character animation stops after some seconds, illumination effect doesn't look very well on dwarfs ;P Weapon displayed wrong, character animation doesn't stop after some seconds. (weird) (No such problem with my warlock) The new engine somehow dyes my dwarf's beard (1. and 2. screen) and there's still a texture error. (3. screen) |

My main problem is that i cant choose anything other than fixed shader, so i loose water quality, paint and partical effects it's still playable but i would rather that i could get a graphis boost instead of a downgrade
Also FPS are slightly better. <missing info> Last edited by surak; 11-18-2009 at 12:54 AM. Reason: state your hardware configuration please |

Running this myself right now, and everything seems to be much smoother. I have noticed that the shadow underneath mobs sort of blinks. Not sure if it happens with other players or not...
EDIT; Sorry, I forgot the specs; AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 4000+, 2.2ghz 3.0 G RAM, ATI Radeon x800 series Video card

Ok game looks fantastic, except my FPS have gone from 50 down to 10-20
I run windows vista/p8600 intel duo core/4gbram/ ati 4570 512ram. I run game on max settings and resolution, no matter what i do, fps stay between 10-20, going to update drivers now Last edited by La_Mer; 11-18-2009 at 08:53 AM. Reason: adding image |
