Positive feedback to NGD
Hi. Chilko made a comment in a thread yesterday that IMHO should be a cause for concern to all the community.
Quote:
Please try to keep the bitching, arguing, trolling and all things negative out of this and just post the good stuff. Thanks. Firstly, all the points from the post containing the comment above are great news: http://www.regnumonlinegame.com/foru...5&postcount=15 And this kind of response from a developer is second to none: http://www.regnumonlinegame.com/foru...3&postcount=14 |

Im sick and tired of those people who just whine at NGD for everything they do. it's just not right.
I'm glad you are working on so many things NGD im very excited about the new castles and knockdowns balance, however you should tell us what you are doing more we are kind of in the dark about what your intentions are for regnum. |

I agree!
I like most of new features: warmasters, forts, new mobs and items models. I like upcoming jump and falling damage features. This should refresh game play. Yes, some things work not as expected. But only those don't make mistakes who doesn't work. I like that RO is developing. It changes and grows. I know how hard can be work in support department and I know that NGD do well. I spent some money to RO and I am glad that I could help this team. For me giving money to NGD is much better than give them to McDo***ds. I pay for pleasure. Almost same pleasure as i can get in cinema, theater or something. I thank NGD for tons of hours I relax in RO, for opportunity they gave me to improve my English and learn some French and Spanish. I thank NGD for opportunity to make new friends. I especially thank NGD for support Unix-like systems! NGD you are doing well! Don't listen trolls and hysterics. You did the great job. And the greatest is awaiting you in future. Best wishes, Truewar

People don't get pissed and rage because they want to, negative feedback exists for a reason. If someone continues doing more wrong moves than good ones, then of course they will not hear many good things, whether they're fair(Not in most cases) or not.
On-topic: I'm looking forward for the jumping feature and so are half of the new players on Piranha that keep complaining about the lack of jumping on realm chat.

The game has constantly improved since its worst state when position bugs was the worst and invasions had no purpose at all. Only negative I have to say about it, is that the progress have been too slow at times and game play had quite a few set backs.
I like... Current balance, it is fair in an odd way. Their will always be flaws, but balance is from my experiance as good as it ever been. I never had 4 different classes that i enjoyed at the same time before, i cant speak for conjurers or knights. That you have to grind/fight in the war zone to reach max level again. What NGD did with invasions, the fun factor has really increased. I dont matter if you care about it or not, it is possible to create fun around the event. There is more fun to be had if you look beyond camping lvl 4 forts/castles. I think many players just find it hard to activate themselves, their allies and clans. There really is no excuse to spend so much time waiting (the horus sickness imo), move around and fight and steer shit up. It seem people slowly catch on, but im sure some player will never adept from their boring repetitive save/fort madness or zerging behaviour. What I wish for, First, dont ruin anything. Balance realm population, this probably cant fixed, but i definitely think more can be done to even out the population difference in fort wars and invasions. Start advertising your own servers. Is it possible to make XP from fighting a little more rewarding? Basic stuff, for example make booster only tic away if you actually kill something. I dont see why killing a knight or some tree hugger should cost me so much. Fix some issues with strafing, Make it possible to switch spell bar with F-keys while strafing, i can only switch it with the mouse. I cant mouse turn while strafing to the left, only to the right. It seems to me that half of the players participating in the forums are just whining little baby's that make a rant post whenever a new feature/nerf doesnt suit them. "I payed money, u haz to listen 2 me".
I know alot players who dont, and I also know alot players who dont participate in the forums and that are happy with the game. NGD, just keep working on what chilko mentioned in the "jump feature" thread. And I think this game will have alot potential again. |

Nice one bois, hadn't seen that thread. A lot of really good posts in there and practically all the comments made are still valid now.

You guys are doing great, jumping looks interesting and this upcoming balance update looks pretty good.
My only advice is this: Focus on one thing at a time, instead of working on several things at once. It's better to release working features slowly than buggy ones quickly. Put jumping out first, then put out the balance update (to see if jumping has any potential to mess up RO's oh so delicate balance system). THEN the GUI and other stuff. Keep up the good work
