Hello Everyone!

Well after 2 days of fighting the log-in server (support should really put up a sign to tell folks the log-in is down Grrrr) I finally got to play the game tonight. I've played many a MMORPG and my first observations are the game feels a little like a hybrid of GuildWars meets WoW and it's sorta addictive.The people I've met so far in-game have been very friendly,helpful and sociable (rare for any MMO). The toon i started is a dwarf-archer and I was wondering what everyones opinions are as far as shortbow VS. longbow and Marksmen VS Hunter....Thanks ahead of time and hope to meet you all on Horus !

A hunter enables you to play solo a lot better, so if you dont play in peak war times, or prefer sneaky kills then id go for a hunter, A marksman is more suited towards wars and forts, but both can be setup to work in both situations, remember you can change your skills around with /reset_powers.

Id level shortbows at least a little bit for the Dex passive and long bows at least for Parabolic shot, once you hit war zone its best to carry both a short and long bow in most case's since chasing someone or shooting from a war you need the extra range of a long bow,

For a hunter Dule Shot is a important damaging spell, but for Marks there are better skills in Arrow mastery later on but in the low levels id also reccomend dule shot of Sheild Peirce which is good untill the high teens low 20's but soon starts lacking in damage for some reason.

Thank you for the quick reply Umaril. I think i'm going to try hunter,just hope the pet commands are not too wonky like some other games i've played. Well back to my lvl 9 Alsius archer !

The pet bar is pretty good now, most things that were wrong with it were fixed
