So as the video description says, I've been playing my Ra hunter a lot lately (Hockey Is Life), and not really paying attention to war zone status. Well finally I looked at the map to see how the invasion was going, and I saw that the last 2 gems were at pn2, so I knew we'd probably make a wish. So I went back to gate, switched to conjurer (because a warmaster conj is more useful to a realm than a WM hunter. Well when I got to the portal, I was like "dammnnnnn!" (since I'm used to playing in Haven).

There was more there than I showed in the video, and I made the idiotic mistake of NOT uploading it in widescreen quality again, so it makes it even harder to see how many there are. Also accidentally removed the clip showing the 360 view, but I rushed this. Also a lot more were cramped against the portal door than you can see in the vid. I repeat, this vid doesn't show everyone that was there.

makes me feel cheated how our server hasnt grown at all since 5 years ago...i soo want to be part of that.i regret transferring my toons from RA to haven all those years ago

Yep why i'm starting to play on RA deff alot more player based then haven. But i stay true to my ignis realm XD

Higher population would be great in Haven, for sure. Even though I don't play in Ra for any purpose related to population, it is nice to have for a lot of obvious reasons.

Positive things I see in Ra that would be nice to see in Haven (in no particular order):

1. New players want to keep playing because of a healthy player base.

2. Auction is filled with items that you can buy with gold, not always great items, but still gives people with very few mags a way to get gear better than at merchant. And sometimes if you keep a close eye on it, you might just find some nice stuff there. I actually have bought plenty of decent items in Ra from auction, because I sell a lot of mags in auction for gold. Not like I will ever save up enough to trade for OP items in commerce anyway lol.

3. For people that play the game purely for constant war action, regnum points and warmaster quest completion... Well, a good player base certainly provides that.

4. People are less likely to log off because the vibe of the realm is better, so it seems less boring. This is not the case for me in Ra personally, I don't care how many people are online there, I couldn't care less if I was the only one in the realm there, as I don't play there for the war or population in general. But since in Ignis Haven, I want our realm to do well and be lively, so I don't like when the atmosphere there feels dead, and I know many others don't like it either. I always feel like that is the start of us getting zerged and invaded over and over again, and I lose interest in playing.


But hey, then again... At least if our realm is dead and devastated, hopefully whoever ends up making the wish takes at least a few days to do it, so I can spend the time grinding my other characters while we're devastated, and not care if we get invaded. I would like some grinding time, as I feel it is necessary to have a more effective character in war than a hunter.

5. There are probably more positive reasons for a healthy player base, but I'm losing interest in typing all of this text just as much as you are in reading it.


Well, some negative things of great server population:

1. For those that lag a lot in Haven as it is, I'm sure having a larger population would make things worse.

2. Mags are much harder to come by. More people mag hunting, less people with a lot of mags. Yet in Ra, the mag prices for things in commerce are still high. So most of the stuff posted in commerce there will be posted a billion times before it's sold, which just leads to a lot more commerce spamming. And because there is no realm or commerce chat for the war zone in Ra, I always see like 10 people just standing around inner gate posting stuff in commerce, and waiting for replies that probably never come because nobody has the amount of mags they want for them.

3. More ganking in the war zone, and inside the realm during or after being invaded.

4. Less free grind spots due to more people grinding, making the leveling process a little tougher.

5. More multi-realmers.

6. There may be more reasons, but I'm done for now.

Of course when you have nearly 100 people trying to kill it, it's understandable. Only had enemy surv 2, so there probably was more hiding, and possibly around 40+ Alsians.

Since I started this thread with the topic of Ra, might as well post this here...

Well, what a start to my Ra gameplay today lol.

After logging in, I'm going to the gate coming from Montsognir to hunt in the war zone. As I see the gate in my sight, an announcement in Spanish (so I had no idea what it said) from Frosk appears on the screen. A brief moment after the announcement, the ground randomly shakes. Right after it starts shaking, Alasthor appears out of nowhere and attacks only me. and I know this because after I died, I dragged my view all around and everyone at gate was still alive and with full health. Thanks Alasthor.



Edit- Does anyone that's reading this have a clan that speaks english, or at least have a decent number of bi-lingual speakers I can join in Alsius Ra? It's awkward, and really starting to get annoying when random people clan invite me, send messages or party invites when I don't speak their language.

Would be kinda fun to be in a clan with other players from Haven there.

There are at least 3 English speaking clans in RA. One of them and the oldest in RA is 'Immortal Legends' of The Mow and Zordak. The others I don't remember their names. Couple of days ago I saw in the Initiation zone a lamai called Snufkind (ieti?) and I think her clan's name was Haven-Ignis or Ignis-Haven.
