make sure if your wanting pets your the right class
if your below lvl 10 then you cannot have pets
if your wanting pets and your lvl ten choose hunter or conjurer

for hunters though the main problem is that they do not realize that to capture pets around their main city they must have the catch pet skill upgraded to at least lvl 2

Ahhh yeah, I was told by someone in my clan when I was level 15 that you _couldn't_ get adult wolves at 16.. Then I worked out how to level skills up and thought "hey, that german page says something that might mean I need it at level 2", and woo! Proved him wrong!

To get a pet...

1)you have to be a hunter

2) you have to be at least lvl 13

3) your tame beast spell must be at lvl 2

4) the pet you are trying to tame must be the same lvl as the hunter. in other words, it must be 'normal' (blue) and cannot have a challenge bonus (CHG+ x) when you kill it.

I do believe my first pet was a daggerfang on Herluf's Slope. And btw, hunters suck now.

Sorry, (I know that's like it is in Alsius,) but for Syrtis this isn't true. We can get our first Pets with lvl10 here.

you should still be able to get a pet at lvl 10 in intiation land. or maybe its diffrent does alsius have bugs?
