feedback on the new tech

Well it's not a technical issue at all but i didn't know where to put that. I wanted to give feedback on the small test i've done with the new tech.

To sum up, the new tech seems to work really good for me. I tested on windows only so far.
hardware:
- nvidia 8800 GTS 640MB
- Intel Core 2 2.4GHz
- 3GB RAM

Even with my good hardware, i had to set some settings to low in order to run the game with good performance, mostly if i wanted to have a smooth movement when moving the view around or even running, and especially in wars.
But with the new tech client, i put everything at full (except for antialiasing and anisotropic filter that i left at 1x and water quality at medium but i didn't go near water) and i had obviously overall better performance, even when groups of people were fighting in the same place.

I need to confirm that by testing a bit longer and with more people on screen but on a pure performance aspect i'm quite surprised since the quality of lighting and shadows seem really much better with the new tech. Some people told me i would need a really good hardware to use the new tech and i was expecting a drop in my framerate. I just hope further testing will back up my first impression.
