Default Regnum Online - 2012's 2nd half of the year roadmap!

Hi everyone!

We wanted to reach out to the community and let you know about our development roadmap for the rest of 2012.
We received a lot of feedback from all the communities with suggestions on how to improve the game and concerns about technical issues.
Now it’s time to address them:


Magnanites:

We’ll be reinserting Magnanites in the world as a tradeable item! We’re happy to announce that Magnanites are back!
Now everyone will be able to trade them and to make things even more exciting we’ll add a completely new set of Magnanite Weapons.
To be released on July 2012.


Engine: Stability and Performance Enhancements.

Besides the graphical improvements to towns, we’ve been working hard on improving the client’s performance and stability. We are currently testing internally a new version of the engine that fixes most of the hiccups some of you experience and adds a new degree of customization options to get the best performance out of it. New rendering modes for high end hardware will be also included.
To be released on July 2012.


Warmasters Spells tree.

We are also working on a new design for warmaster spells that will vary per sub-class. (This means that only barbarians will have offensive beacons and only warlocks will have offensive portals for example). New warmaster quests and spells exclusively designed for each subclass will be also included.
To be released on August 2012.


Invasions Mechanics Restyle

Improved mechanics and functionality for the invasions system. Including renewed Dragon Wishes and more! Starting next month, we will move back to the old 3 saves system that proved to be the best option for the game’s warzone.
To be released on August 2012.


Other things we’ll be working on to be released between September and December 2012:

  • Improvements to the combat system. (more responsive)
  • Class balance and spell/discipline point balance.
  • Commerce System Renewal – Auction House!
  • Overall gameplay for all levels and content enhancements on mid-high level characters! (lvls 40+)
  • Rankings revamped!
  • A NEW EXPANSION!


We hope you’re excited about this as we are to see how Regnum Online will continue to grow during 2012 and beyond!

Wow very exciting news !

It's been a long time I didn't play but I'm still watching, still hoping for "that" update that will finally get me back in the game. To be honest with the recent cosmetic-only changes and the introduction of the useless bunny race I was starting to loose faith but this roadmap brings some hope back.

Even if you got very talented graphic designers introducing new shiny graphics for the game, it's atop a not-so optimized and bugged 3D engine, resulting in lot of wasted FPS and bugs present since the first days of NG3D 2.0.

Warmasters was and still is a pure disaster especially balance-wise. Also one of its major flaws for me was it being unique to all classes, introducing overpoweredness and huge redundancy. I'm very glad to hear there will be subclass specific WM spells, as it was one of my suggestions aswell.
So big +1 for that too.

This is also very welcome.
Current class balance is terrible especially since WM and the new cap allowing the most overpowered classes to get everything with little sacrifice. There's still no straight line between Hunters and Marksmen.
Also the Mage class being completely out of date and out of the current game mechanics. I really hope there will be improvements on this side.

So after so long time it's very nice to see you working back on the core of the game, to fix most of the underlayer issues. I'm starting to regain some faith and hope that you will succeed on this roadmap.
