Invisibility

It's my first time to test stuff so I might be asking noobish questions. I downloaded all needed drivers and stuff.

My specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon Dual Core 4050e 2.11 GHz, 2GB RAM, nVidia GeForece 8600 GT, using OpenGL and highest possible graphics. (no safe mode)
(also I don't have any error messages etc)

The thing is I can't see most of mobs, I can see their names and shadows, but they're invisible. Same with myself and most of NPCs.

have you downloaded all the drivers?
can you test it in DIRECTX?

OpenGL is very messy, changes colours of things (this is beach) and the sky is totally gray and noisy

Direct3D is messing up even worse ;(
